Ok, so they lied about the condition - what payment method did you use? Just call up your CC company and dispute the transaction. The card company will make it right.

yah this guy made the effort to hide it though. i asked them for more pictures to be sent to my email and they looked good, never once mentioned the front callipers need a rebuild; wouldnt assume they would at that price and the pics looked good.

paid with paypal and a cc, filed a dispute with paypal since topspeed is acting as i should expect a brembo setup costing $1080 needs work to be put on the road safely. i see complete oem brembos for z33 sell for this amount in usable condition.

vendors like this should not be allowed to associate with online sales if this is how they represent unseen goods.

personally i'd just send them their product back and let them sell it to another person.. for the price you paid you're honestly better off going with an akebono set up.. not to mention the akebono's are way bigger than the oem brembos..

Is it a blown caliper or just a simple torn dust boot?

Does that R34 caliper even fit G/Z without some custom bracket?

Just read it, guess I missed where they said the calipers are in good condition. Just saw used and the mileage of the rotors/pads. Good luck with you situation.

Good morning Bxfi,

Staff and myself have been reviewing this thread and your complaints, as well as it's relevance to our forum. I would like to start off by saying that, as a consumer, I understand your fustration and you do have my sympathy. However, I do have other concerns. Some concerns I have are:

1. The amount of post your have on My350z are only/directly related to this topic. Other post you have made, which were deleted, were vendor harassment post in FS threads, which is prohibited. FS threads are not for debate.

2. The linked thread to Driver was 2 years old. Have we established those were the originally posted brakes?

3. There has not been any mention of private communication with the seller. Has any resolution been attempted? If not, I would consider this jumping the gun a bit by initiating a call-out thread prior to any resolution negotiations with the seller.

Please understand mine and Staff's concern here. Top Speed is an active vendor here and as much as I'd like to see your situation rectified, I also would like to not see any unnecessary slander towards one of our vendors if all venues of rectifying the problem have not been exercised...

TopSpeed Autosport in Chicago sold him the brakes.

TopSpeed Pro1 Performance in Texas is a vendor here.

EDIT: I just noticed TopSpeedAutosport is a vendor as well. My bad.

I have nothing but good things to say about JM Auto Racing. They treated me right and have taken good care of me and have always been very responsive.

1. i came hear and to g35driver to purchase used 18 inch z wheels or new wheels from the marketplace, and dont have much to contribute at this point as i am learning and contacted wheel vendors about specials by pm.

2. 3. i have contacted the vendor on g35 driver about the blown callipers and he acted like i should be expecting to rebuild a setup costing $1080 and tried to play dumb about the condition. the vendor topspeed was asked to step up a few times before i filed a paypal dispute. when i asked topspeed about the forsale thread on g35driver he said the brakes in the thread where for sale still, i assume they are the same ones forsale for over 2 years.

i also have a z32 and wanted to upgrade to some brembos, these from a r34 gtr bolt on; so i would of maybe still bought them needing a rebuild but at a fair price for the condition.

update:
paypal ordered that the brake set up be returned to topspeed for a full refund. it will be returned to the scammer since he has made zero attempts at making the situation right. all you had to do, topspeed, is make the setup road worthy, the kind of bbk i bought, and i would of kept them. i will also be following the seller if he decides to try and pawn off these brakes on another unsuspecting customer.
