Also, I was under the impression that the slave cylinder
Upgrade was mandatory once the or unit fails.
Not mandatory unless you go with an aftermarket clutch/flywheel, but it's a good idea to upgrade either way. But if you get all that you'll also need to upgrade the master cylinder.
Bought my 08 Grand Touring at 38,000 Kilometers, now has 50,000 and just had the rear hub replaced when they went to do an alignment- $800 job that was covered under 5 yr/ 100K warranty. No other issues at all.
I just got my 08 white last summer due to my accident. I almost got an 03-04 Z until I came into this siteto gather info about the Z. And boy I was lucky that I did that.
This. Just had my THIRD replaced in less than 2 years.
Bizzare. I have 08 with 49K mi (got it with 37K)..zero clutch problems. I haven't drag raced it either. Never ride the clutch pedal. I see you have JWT FW..that could be a problem, since it doesn't damper vibrations like dual mass fw.

If you have an after market clutch/flywheel, the upgraded CSC is a must, it's also highly recommended that you upgrade your master cylinder.
If I were keeping the car I would have done all the above. I'm about to trade it in though as I need a 4 seater for future family plans and the CTS-V Sedan is up next, hopefully within the next couple of weeks.
My '08 has ~48K on it now. Only problems have been the sh!tty interior finish, especially on the driver's armrest and cubby release button, and the passenger side window motor just failed (which is odd, because I've used it maybe 15 times in 3 years, and barely even open that door). Otherwise. the car has been rock-solid, and the window repair will be the first time it's ever been in for dealer service.

Why not go for a G? although that CTS-V is an amazing machine
