Look into Viper Alarms, the ones with dual remotes. I got mine installed for $400 (refurbished). Gives me a peace of mind at night - I have the larger remote by my bedside at night, and the smaller remote I take out with me. You can set the alarm sensitivity on a 1-14 scale.

When I set it on 13, a loud truck coming by set off the alarm. 12, and opening/closing the side mirrors will set off the first alarm (warning alarm). Well worth it in my opinion.

Yeah I'm definitely going the viper route not this Wednesday but next. I hope someone messes with my car and the alarm notifies me. Not trying to sound cocky or anything but I don't train for no reason.

How much do you think that runs? Think I could put it over tint?

The security film also acts as a tint. Viper also offers this option, along with (I believe) 3M and a few other distributors. Google "Auto Security Film".

http://www.viper.com/Tint/Products/ShadeFilm.aspx

They aren't 100% shatterproof, but it slows them down a LOT. The moment they crack your window (or your car detects vibration that's unusual), your alarm would go off, giving you enough time to reach your car before anything. If you're going the Viper route, do check the following when you're getting it installed:

1) The trunk open button works on your remote.
2) The remote start works on BOTH remotes (if you're getting the remote start option).
3) You get the installer to walk you through how to disarm the alarm if you ever need to.

If you ever need to check if your car is within the distance that your remote can detect intrusions, do an internal temperature check using your viper remote. If it gives you a reading, you're within range. If it gives you an error, you're not. Ask your installer about how to do this with the remote.

Good luck.

Two things:

1: The factory alarm does not have shock sensors. Your car door must open for it to go off. It is possible to break your window and crawl inside.

2: Pics of girlfriend...

I Should put a license plate on my car that says snake or viper and leave an actual snake in the car for security purposes like in gone in 60 seconds

Guys, should I go with one of those HKS true dual replicas or a complete true dual straight pipe? If I go complete straight pipe it will definitely be more expensive than the rep huh?

Yeah, true will be way more expensive or else the replicas wouldn't exist.

That sucks. Just use this as an excuse to get a Valentine radar detector.
