Default Someone broke into the Z last night

Okay so I live in a neighborhood that I consider decent you know. Never had complaints with any neighbors and it's pretty quiet if you ask me. Anyways, last night I came home from a party at around 12. Woke up in the morning, girlfriend asked if I could pick her up, said yes, and then I walked out the door. I open my door. Sit, put the key in the ignition and then I notice my passenger window is open. I then think, wtf? I get out of the car. glass shattered everywhere and then I look around and my Paspport Escort 9500ix is gone. What baffles me is that I had 180 dollars underneath the radio, yes I realize it's dumb to leave money in a car and I will never do it again, my debit card, my license, and I had beats headphones behind the drivers seat and they only took the radar which was hidden underneath the driver's seat. The weird thing is that the alarm didn't go off and my door was locked. They literally would've had to crawl through the broken window to get the radar from where it was at yet there's no blood anywhere. Now, I'm out 500 dollars on a radar, the cheapest window replacement I found was 190 and on top of that. I was going to buy 2 10 inch JL W3's with pro box and amp for 300 which I now had to put off. What the hell is wrong with people nowadays? Keep in mind I'm only 17 so I'm paying for all of this out of pocket since the insurance deductible is so high. Oh yeah, and I have to get the window retinted at 3% to match the other one.... I currently hate my life. Called pawn shops, looked around the neighborhood. Nothing, I even noticed many of my neighbors have radars and theirs are all mounted up on the windshield. I even noticed someone has the same radar as I but in red and it was out in plain view? Is it possible that it's someone I know?

I'm saying how did they know the radar was there when they had to go underneath my seat to see it but they didn't see any of the other valuables? I feel as if whoever did it knew where I put my stuff for them to only take that and not anything else.

I'm saying it was probably your dre beats headphone on your passenger seat which lead to the break not the radar. Why they didn't take the headphone, cash ect... I dunno
EDIT: headphones were BEHIND driver seat. It could've been your wallet or cc and dl that lead to the initial break in.

Consider yourself lucky. Most thief rifle through car during a break in so the radar under the seat was a easy find. It was probably a rookie or teenager nervous as fck for their 1st time... had it been someone experience, they would've cleaned out your car.

Sorry to hear. It does sound like someone you know since they went for one thing only. Whoever it was, they'll be looking from now on to see what else they can steal. And who knows, maybe they'll tell others to look out for your car too.

This is why you NEVER leave anything exposed. Hide anything, you just never know what people are looking for.

Good or bad neighborhood nothing short or a bullet in the heart will keep a meth head from getting money for a fix. They are everywhere. Determined and will not be dissuaded by possible consequences.

You filed a police report correct?
And contacted your insurance company to get the car fixed? Or is is one of those Car is insured under mommy’s name deals?

Katy huh? Unless you live in those gated neighborhoods I would never leave any valuables in the car. Even then I'd garage park it.

My alarm didn't go off when my g was broken into, same as yours. When I asked the stealership they confirmed that the alarm "might not" go off if someone bashed the window.

Car is insured under dad's name but regardless the deductible is so high that I'll literally pay more to get my stuff back. Then the actual cost.

Oh and all of the valuables couldn't be see in their placement. The money was stashed on the very end of the space underneath the radio and the beats were on the floor behind the drivers seat. You would have to move the seat a bit to fully realize what it was and I have 3% tint. So my thing here is that none of the valuables were clearly seen which is baffling me at this point. And your car is sick btw, I was going through tumblr the other day and my girlfriend has a picture of your Z on there -______-

Factory alarm? You should test that. Lock the car using the key fob with the driver's window rolled up. Take your key and tab the center of the window pretty hard- not hard enough to break/scratch your window, obviously, but if the car has a shock sensor then you should be able to set it off with this method.

The theft more than likely happened by someone you know. Someone who was interested most specifically in your radar detector. Someone smart enough to not take your debit card because they knew that would get them caught, doesn't care to have your license because it's useless to them, and it's beyond me why they didn't bother with the cash. Maybe they never even looked at the radio? Who knows what was going through their head to begin with.

had the same thing happen to me last year, and had my maxima stolen a few years before. Came outside to go to work and found my pass window blown out. They stole my WHOLE console. They didnt find my 2 jl amps in the stock sub location tho. And for some reason i took the subs out like 2 days before. i got lucky. I live in northern queens, so there are 2 bridges that will take you into the Bronx within 2 miles. I see at least one car a month on cinder blocks or patio bricks, watever the dirtbags can grab off your lawn. And what really pisses me off is that the f'ing NYPD gave me a ticket in front of my house for drinking a beer, literally right after replacing and aligning my new window glass a few months after this happened. (Deductible was 2000, Hadto leave my car in the driveway taped up for a while)

^ they got you good, taking the gauges and every thing else. This is a smash and grab who had no relation and were in and out very quick

OP it was someone you know, you are 17 and know a lot of people that you will soon find out are garbage. once some of your friends get out of high school and mommy and daddy stop wiping their a$$ and paying for their shat they will show their true colors. I guarantee you the person who did it will soon surface or rumors will spread and you will find out who it is.

When I was your age I had friends that were much bolder then the puss who broke your window. It was usually involving drugs so they could rob cheat or steal shat without worrying about cops typically. take this advice, trust know one and dont brag or show anyone else the things you hold dear or are expensive and get a alarm that is better then the one . just some advice from someone who has lived, learned, and grown up since those days.

Oh man trust me, I was taught at a young age not to trust anyone. I'm pretty sure it's someone I know of. I texted my friend to text this one kid from our school since I've heard of this kid stealing people's stuff before so he'll check it out. I found this ad on craigslist ad that's the exact setup I had. Super Cup mount with the same blue led screen but the guy said he was located in the heights and he already sold it. This looks really suspicious though....

the stock alarm will only go off if the window is smashed and the door is unlocked and the door is opened. same with the hood. there is no sensor for vibrations.

What insurance company do you have? Check with them, depending on who you are with, some times there is no deductible on glass.
