Default Help in choosing trim level

I'm going to buy a low level coupe and get it worked on (tv's, twin turbo) but i want to buy the lowest level that I really need. I am trying to choose between enthusiast and performance. There is about a 2000 difference. Is the VDS worth the 2000 cause I'm really not to concerned with the tire pressure system. Any thoughts or input will be appreciated.

If you're going to do work on the car, why not go with the lowest level and put that extra 2K into mods?

in the Performance you will have a switch that turns off the VDC, the Vehicle Dynamic Control... or traction control (not VDS... I think you are confusing that with TPS the Tire Pressure-monitor System)

the other difference is the wheels... the Performance will have 18x8 and larger tires than the Enthusiast, which comes with 17x7.5 front and 17x8 rear

So... if you don't care about turning off traction control and you plan to upgrade wheels you should get the Enthusiast

thanks for absolutely not answering my questions!!!! I know what comes on each level. My question was if the Vehicle Dynamic Control was worth the money. I dont really know what it does, but all ive read on the board was that everyone who got into a wreck had turned theirs off at the time. Please answer my question. No i dont have it confused with TPS, i simply miss typed. i dont care about the TPS, i just wanna make sure i get waht is best for my car.

I have an enthusiast with Traction Control System, which works plenty well for me. It sounds like most of the people with VDC that wrecked had it turned off at extremely bad times like rain and sleet and snowstorms. Since I dont' have VDC, I can't say that it isn't worth it, but I CAN say that I don't miss it.

I bought the enthusiast, but was looking for a performance. That's another thing... performance is harder to find than enthusiast so you might have to wait longer. I got my enthusiast with all the options, so the only thing I can say that I miss is the tire size, and tire pressure sensors. I don't need a tire pressure sensor, my eyes work just fine, and if you're going to do a lot of work on the car, I imagine you'll be getting new wheels/tires anyway.

Go with the enthusiast, and put the other 2K towards mods or down payment.

Go to the link below for VDC explaination:

http://www.nissanusa.com/vehicles/Mo...butes/0,,30458|31005|,00.html#midpageAnchor

Oops; does not work. Go to Nissan web site, click on 350Z, click on Performance model, find list of features, & then click on "VDC".
