ive been told by a few people that own Z's that it feels like a mustang. I dont like american cars, so i def dont want my Japanese car to drive like one. As some people on here get on me about, I dont own a Z right now, because i want to find out everything about it first. and if this is true, i may just get a s2k. any help guys?

 

A Z feels like a Z

 

I test drove a 2005 Mustang GT before I drove my Z. My impression was that the thing was big as a boat. The 350z fit me nice and snug and held me in the corners. I like to make this comparison to my friends that drive mustangs. "You have two rear seats that you don't need, and I have a huge strengthening beam".

 

A 350z feels like a RWD car, an S2000 feels like a RWD car. You should get an RSX which is FWD and I hear decimates all.

You could do the impossible and drive both cars to compare....

I applaude you for at least registering here to get more info on the car you are looking into but cmon man... saying a car feels like a mustang??? what are we comparing?? performance,handeling,comfort,sex appeal,leg room,mpg??? lol your question is open ended and YES your going to get hated on bc your on a z site saying a z feels like a mustang?

 

The '08 V8 Mustang I drove was nothing like any of the Zs I drove before buying my '08 coupe. I don't know about the V6 Mustangs, though.

A Z& a Mustang are night&day.I gotta hand it to the new Mustangs(Shelby's
that is)getting there.Mustangs in general have antiquated suspensions.
These are straight line cars.A muscle car vs a sportscar.
After 111 posts,makes me wonder if you are ever gonna put up or shut up?

Also OP, do you want a Z, RX7, Supra, or Mustang??? I only say that from your previous posts/threads. You are very undecided. Go test drive since that will be your deal breaker. All we can do is give opinions. YOU are the one to decide in the end.

well people don't compare S2000's to mustangs so have fun with your S2K

 

I've had a couple friends with mustangs both GT and v6. They are nothing like a Z. Power level of the GT is similar but the delivery is very different. If you have never driven a older GT with the 4.6 go out and do it. Someone else said its like driving a boat, and that is the most accurate description I could give.

I can't speak for the new GT with the 5.0, I still haven't driven one. Although I suspect it will still have a very marine like feel just with way more power.

 

Go test drive a mustang. Then go test drive a Z. Common sense much?

Drive both and form your own opinion. If I said driving an F430 felt like riding in a swan boat, would you never dream of owning one?
