350z with mods vs 370z
Hi all!!
alright common question but i want to know whether or not i want to spend that extra 10k on a 370.
Im looking at an 08 350z. and going to add these mods:
- Stillen headers
- ART Pipes
- Motordyne Shockwave
- Final Drive 4.083 gears
- Stillen G3/ Injen not to sure yet?? -_-
- Tomei cams 264.
- Uprev tune
- Some handling mods.
- Clutch + Flywheel
any other mod suggestions would help!!
-Some weight stripped out.
Vs. A 370 with light bolt ons which would win??

^ what he said.... plus I would say 350z hands down... seams like you wanna go NA and with the NA the 350z might not have a matching power to the 370z.. but the throttle response in the 350z is noticeably better.. I have driven the G37 and the 370z and I own a de 350z, I just love the throttle response in the 350z that I though of going with something else rather than the 370z if I thought about selling it.

I talked to a dealer recently about 370z sales, and he told me that they sell very few of them. The primary reason is that they are far too expensive new versus the 350z. He said something about the total cash out price being close to $39K, and the Nismo even more ($46K). He also complained that the car is significantly smaller from the interior, so that even short customers say it is tight.
That said, he is still selling decent numbers of GTRs, even at the new $100K price point. Go figure.

350Z wins, no contest.
370Z = approximately $39,000 out the door.
350Z = $10,000 -$14,000 all day long.
At those prices, I can spend $25,000 on performance mods and just barely be bumping the bottom end of the 370Z price range. Give me a 350Z and 25 grand to work with and I'll give you a car that will pretty much out perform anything on the road -- including most of the 6-digit European "supercars". I don't know of any vehicle currently available that will give you more bang for your buck than a 350Z, and the amount of upgrades available is staggering!

The mods you listed plus installation would probably be close to $10k and the gains will be disappointing. I would go with the 370z if you like the styling, I have read on this site that the 370z responds much better than the 350 to bolt-ons.
For the extra 10k you could go FI on the 350, in that case there is no comparison.
Im kind of in the same situation. I can't decide if I should sell my car and pick up a 370, or continue dumping money into my DE. I love both cars so tough call.

I haven't had a chance to drive an HR, need to get out and do a test drive. The idea of upgrading to an HR has been in the back of my mind, but at the same time my car is almost paid for and I like the idea of having no payment and more cash flow to upgrade (possible supercharger in my future).
