I bought a 04 with 84k on it back in July. So far so good. Just noisy clutch at times.

I have an 06, zero problems. No oil burning. In my unverified opinion, 06 is the sweet spot.

Child pleaseeeee my 2006 is fine. I check the oil every 700 miles and its nothing short of normal. Also my Z was made in the first half of 2006 so its considered the 'worst' make and year...so far so great.

Just bought an 03 for 8500 (had some aftermarket stuff on it). Havent had the chance to drive it yet since im in the 'stan right now, but had my mechanic check it out and he said the tranny was good. Got the 6mt. can't wait to get home to it and take it out.

Ya i'm hoping so. If not, that will be one of the first things I get done to it. gotta make sure its mechanically sound before I start putting extra stuff on it. especially since its gonna be my DD. got 100 miles per day round trip to work in ATL traffic.

I think he just meant that if it has already been replaced, then they should have replaced it with the good one (the cd009) if they were smart.

bingo, thanks

I'm perusing threads and cars.com myself. Not yet in the market, but I wanna get a good idea of exactly what I want to look for. Seems the only way to get the car with Brembos is to get the track package. I guess the 07+ motors are much stronger, but they still seem a bit pricey

Ya they are pretty pricey if your on a budget. I got lucky found mine on craigslist for 9k (offered 8500) and had my mechanic check it out, like I said. the 03s in GA are going for 10-12k on average and the 07s and up are going for around 18-22k (speaking purely for the used cars of course)

Also, the Track package is the only way I can get the full shebang correct? Brembos, seat heaters, etc (without adding on later that is)
