From what I understand yes. I think the 06+ touring has seat heaters as well? But as far as the stock performance parts, track is the way to go. But of course you going to pay for it too.

No the 07 did not have any transmission issue, it received the cd009, exact same as the 08.
07-08 are identical vehicles

If you want a cheap autocross car get an 03,

if you want a nice autocross car/ cruisier/ best of all worlds, get an 07-08 but preare to pay significantly more for the HR, and yes its worth it.

go on youtube search 350z hr, you will see why (aka 350z hr vs 370z is a drivers race)

I just got an 03 Track for $8500. One lady owned with 130K. She drove highways miles to Tampa everyday. Had my buddy at Nissan check it out and he got me all he warranty service records. Car is spotless on the interior, no doors scratches or stains. Has the usual rock chips on the front bumper but thats getting painted. Track models come with brembos, drill slotted rotors and Rays rims. 03 has the niffty retracting center compartment which is the only year i believe. No navi, leather, Bose or heated seats. To much weight
