Hey guys,
Can you guys shed some light on how much you picked up your car's for off the sticker price? I haven't talked prices yet. But I think today is the day I go in trying to buy my Daytona Blue '04 Performance model. The sticker after all options is $31,520.00 Anybody know what kinda offer I should shoot them? THanks alot!

Here's some advice:
First, know what the invoice price of the car, with all the options, is. This is one of the most important things you can do.
Second, always negotiate from the invoice price up, not from MSRP down. Start with something around $500 over invoice (or even less) and work up from there.
Third, don't ever be afraid to walk away. There are a lot of other dealerships you can visit. You're the one who has control here, not the dealer. Don't ever give that up to the person you're negotiating with.
That being said, if you can get even $1000 below MSRP for a Z you're getting a pretty decent deal. There are quite a few dealers out there who still will not budge on price, and some are arrogant enough to still add dealer markup to the MSRP.

what options do you want? should try to get most of them thrown in for free. they ussually like to haggle by throwing in options. not the best for you; but where you look at it as saving 100$ on a set of floormatsl its only costed them 50$.

Keep in mind that dealing from the invoice price is easy when dealing with a commodity car, which the Z is not. Supply and demand have a lot to do with what you can buy a Z for. Depending on where you are located, you might find it easy to get something off or you may have to pay MSRP. I doubt you'd have to pay over MSRP at this point as the demand is down from when they were orginally released.
There are three dealers in my city, two wanted $600 to $1000 over MSRP in the form of a Market Adjustment charge on the window sticker. That meant that the demand was so good they could actually (try) to get over MSRP for a Z. The third dealer, the one I bought from gave me $1000 off MSRP for the exact same car you describe.
