Introduction / Record keeping post.
Hello! Names Jordan, 23 from Rhode Island. I own a 2008 enthusiast model Pikes Peak white 350z. Ive been on here creeping and researching before joining now I figure why not start documenting the car and introduce myself. I daily drive it for the most part unless its a blizzard out then I use my 2003 GMC Jimmy diamond edition. I love my Z, when I was looking for a sportier daily car I narrowed my options down to the z, a gti, or a TT. the latter two failed in comparison to the reliability of the Z and nissan. another factor was that originally the Z was a little outside what I could afford. So I waited and waited, soon enough a little under a year I had enough money ( half the price of the car ) and a higher income then originally. The z became an obsession before I had the car, I looked up everything I could from history to differences in the model years. after another month to two months I narrowed it down to an 07 or 08 model year. the gains and changes to the vehicle that were made I really liked from the headlights and hood to the interior differences and ironed out wrinkles that some other models had/ didnt have.. So without further a due heres my Z
ok, installed: K&N Typhoon intake, Stance coilovers, alpine double din HU with removable gps, ipod hook up in cubby, alpine mrx-m50, alpine type r 10" sub in a Zenclosure box.
changes: rolled fenders, axle back straight pipes (till $ in a couple months for real exhaust) dipped black wheels (protect wheels from salt till spring), dipped emblems, removed 350z from rear, dipped trunk bar with the z on it ( doesnt reflect in hatch window. nothing really just personal effects.
plans: Learn about fitment and suspension geometry, implement said knowledge to get nice fitment, wheels, front lip, vinly roof to see if I like it, real exhaust, then bumper tuck.
while looking at this long boring post few questions (that I can find by searching) but since your already here feel like answering:
true dual exhaust too much flow for N/A ?
reproduction lips/wheels/exhaust is the quality really that much lower on all of them or are there certain exceptions and if so what brands are they?
how to adjust coilovers?
what to do with the empty free air sub area? its just so big and empty! anyone do something cool with it?
effects of a weight reducing rear hatch on performance both negative and positive?
Thank you for looking any constructive or colorful comments are welcomed. Like i said before I can find this myself and will in due time but if you feel like making it easy for me I appreciate it.

Thank you everyone for the feedback. I do plan on putting clear ones in or the LED ones not sure which yet. Also all the black you see is plastidi, reason being I wanted to get an idea of how it will all look. the only dip im keeping later on are the emblems no way in hell am i going to pay 60 bucks for black ones... everything else is planned to be replaced with after market ( rep amuse front bumper, and im thinking about either used volks or new varrstoen wheels) only problem is I want some wheels that are not on every other Z. so its going to take some time. anyone have a good site for a shorty antenna and clear markers? also how difficult is it to change out? on my buddys r32 (vw ) it was a pop out pop in. Thanks again Guys and girls

Not too difficult, but you do have to take the whole front bumper off. Just a bunch of bolts... if you look on youtube they will tell you how to do it. I just did this two weeks ago! as for clear/ white reflectors I have the old ones off my 2004? idk if they will fit the newer model though.

03-05 reflectors differ from 06-08 reflectors as the bumper design changed. You don't have to remove the bumper, although it would make it much easier and faster. I did it without removing the bumper or taking off the wheel. Arms got scratched up though lol
