if that's a square set up at 18x8, they will look terrrrrrible on a z, especially a slammed z. you would need some fat spacers to pull them off, but even still there is no dish and no concave, so it would look awkward. just my opinion.

I'm 24 and I pay $77 a month for the Z full coverage. I do piggy back off my parents policy right now however when I turn 25 this year I will no longer be able to do that, yet it will still be going down slightly. Helps when I also have another vehicle, renter's insurance, and life insurance all through State Farm. A lot of it can vary depending on where you live, I live in rural ohio.

No actually I have my 2006 Saturn ion and my 2004 Z with esurance and it's like 165 -170 a month with full coverage. I was pretty surprised too hah. I mean I'm military but with Esurance it really doesn't make a difference they don't offer a discount.

If I were on my parents plan I would pay like $80. It was a curious question tho, I knew I was over paying at $240mo.

Anyways carry on with the thread. IMO something screams blown clutch or something with this trade. That injector size just throws a red flag for me personally.

^^^This is not an insurance quote/comparison thread. Please post elsewhere.

Regarding the trade: Beware. There's a few things that don't add up to me on this. First of all, this is an 03, which doesn't even have the rev-up engine and produced far less HP than the 06(revup) and 07-08s(HR). As many have stated earlier, 326hp is a stretch even if he meant to say it was at the flywheel, but bhp/whp? I highly doubt it unless he is/was running FI.

Which brings up my next point of interest. The kinetix intake manifold and larger injectors don't really make sense unless you are gearing up to run FI or have been running FI. If this is the case and he pulled out the Supercharger/Turbocharger from the car and didn't re-tune it. Then you're going to have a sluggish car. Doing this and leaving all the other mods on there doesn't make sense either.

My guess, is that this guy just started slapping mods onto his Z without really understanding or doing the research associated with getting "real" percentage gains in engine performance. The Z looks cool/flashy. But some of these mods make no sense.

If it was me, I would sell my RX8 vs. trading it and use the cash to find a Fully stock(or close to stock) 07-08 350Z. Naturally there would be a price gap, but you will get a great car with lower mileage and better chances the car/engine hasn't been abused. The next best option is finding an 06. I have one and don't see any oil consumption issues, however my 06 came off the line in Nov. of 2006. The prices on this year are much lower than the 07-08s.

Whatever you decide, good luck!

No question, I would trade but just make sure the car is legit, and operates properly. I would take it to a mechanic shop (of your choice) preferably one with a good reputation,(No JOESCHMO repair shops) and have the car properly inspected, on his bill (if his car is right, he won't have a problem paying a few bucks to settle your mind.

Take it to Nissan and have it diagnosed. They'll check everything.

The thing to look out for on the 03 is grinding going into third gear. I would take it out and hit all the gears hard to see if there are any grinds at all.
HR didn't come out till 07. 03-05 = vq35de 06 = vq35de revup (oil problems) 07/08 vq35HR

Keep the 8. You know you car's history and this Z seems way to fishy.

Here is what sticks out to me:
1. Liar on what is dynoed
2. Nobody upgrades injectors and fuel rail unless they build the motor or boost it (my opinion) so either it was boosted already or the person is a moron
3. Drives like a douche were he had to install a stage 3 6-puck clutch on a stock engine
4. Slammed which means most likely has suspension issues that will come into play down the road

First rule, don't ever buy a modified car!!

RX-8 is a great car to drive, primarily for the twisty roads, but it is too weak
RX-8 is in my opinion a bit effeminate car towards 350Z

I speak from my own experience
