Default Any idea what model this 350z

Before you flame me. I've searched this site for answers, I've used the VIN decoder on this site and tried other sites decoders. I've called my insurance company and my credit union. It's being sold as a Enthusiast but it seems like it could be a Track model.

The wheels look right to be a Track model, it appears to have the Brembo's on the front but I can tell if they're on the rear or if the 03 even had the Brembo's on the rear. Not sure if that body kit was an option in 03 or if it's aftermarket.

Anyways a lot you guys on here know these cars in and out, maybe you guys can shed some light on this mystery.

I guess I only question it because I can't see the rear Brembo brakes and I was thinking couldn't someone just convert their model into a Track? Not sure why one would do that but hey it's cars people do crazy stuff LOL!

Look at the button on the lower left side of the dash by your knee, if it says VDC then it's a track. If it says TCS, then it truly is a Enthusiast that has been modded with Brembo, wheels, etc.

BTW - the VIN tells nothing about the model. Nissan dealers can look it up in the computer by VIN and tell you what it originally was. There are so many franken-cars out there sometimes it's hard to tell. Look at the bright side, they are selling it for an Enthusiast price.

I will give Nissan a call tomorrow just to verify. I live in Ohio and the car is NJ. When I buy out of state I like to have as much info on the car before I drive or fly out there to get it. I feel good about the car so far just from the car looking clean, low miles and a very nice clean CarFax report.

I just need to the dealer to get me pics on the engine bay. So I can see if it's still stock or riced out lol!

Digging some more on this site and I've found that the Enthusiast doesn't come with a "Solid aluminum kick plate" like the one pictured in the ad. I think it's safe to say this is a Track model, unless someone really took the time to update everything on it to replicate the Track edition.

I guess it all comes down to that VDC button.

I'm wondering, from a financing perspective, if trim level really makes a difference. Looks like a pretty nice, clean car (and likely a track), but the value of the various trim packages certainly diminishes over 10 years.

I've been with Allstate for years, and have never been asked the trim level on my '08 Z (base), nor the trim level on my wife's '07 Acura TL (S-Type). My bank never asked either, when financing was arranged. YMMV.

Relative to the info (above) concerning the differences between Base, Touring, Track, etc., shouldn't this car have a Bose radio if it were a Track? From the photo, that seems a standard radio. Also the front has some kit, as the the front spoiler (lip) does not appear to be the OEM one used on a Track model, however, that doesn't mean that it came with an OEM front piece before it was modded.

Only Touring had the Bose system, Track and all others have the standard radio.
