I love this quote

"You are right that is why I have crossed over to the M3. At high speed the 350Z is just not stable enough beside the feeling of Japanese car is always very hollow"

Translation: European cars are excessively heavy while Japanese cars are lighter and more efficient.

when it all boils down he's still driving a nissan and he wishes he had a BMW

Funny how these guys talk as if BMW's are "better" and yet NISSAN owners think they are humble, until they get beaten by (SRT4, Civic, or any other less expensive car) and then they say the SAME thing! Sometimes, people just need to stop and say the basics: "I got beat, that was impressive."

I dont care for the Neon SRT4.. but hey, if it wins it wins.. thats awesome.

You know, I pulled on an E46 M3 (through 3rd and 4th gear) but never posted it because I did not want to start a flame war. But the simple fact is I have mods, albeit bolt on’s only, and can obviously hang with them. If they cant handle being beat then they need to trade their cheaper M3 for a 911 turbo or some other more expensive faster car.

All the M3 owners I have met have been very cool with the Z. Its those few that seem to **** everyone off, even their own kind.

Remember there will always be a faster car.

Well, I'm glad that some other people are starting to notice that M3 forum too for how it can be. (NOT everyone, just seems like a lot though )

This is a great quote from that thread:

I cant believe they think a 350Z is unstable over 80 mph. Can you imagine what they think of our cars?

I wonder why they have it in so bad, for the 350Z? Prolly cause they know how smart the other guy was (350z owner) spending 10-15 grand less and have a car that looks better, handles better, and can pick up more chicks in.

Also how sh^tty made the bmw's are.
Can I get an amen?!

I just had another bimmer weird behaviour the other day, first all bimmer drivers DO NOT like to be behind ANYONE no matter how fast your going, its their god given right as "ELITE" status car owners to ride your ***.
Anyway some bimmer was riding my *** in the middle lane, I did'nt wanna speed as I know it was a speed trap area so Im doing the limt like the cars infront, he gets impatient of course then pulls into the fast lane a few car lengths ahead and holds that distance as if he's *checking me out* then does a super speed off to demonstrate his "mad" power..I love when they do that dont you?

I hear ya Vandy. I ran one from a roll and was actually a tiny bit faster. It was a convertible, but it was also an SMG so that probably helped. He pulled up beside me and I was ready to run again but he was trying to talk. We slowed down and he asked what I had done to it. He was like "yeah, its a convertible and that adds like 500lbs and its an SMG". I just said well, it's still nice and then drove off. I didnt post it for the same reason of starting a flame war. Anyways, those guys over there do seem pretty uptight.

Ahh... Thanks! Always wanted to know that! So they have the same engine in all of them? Are they just tuned differently? (Kinda like the altima/maxima/z?)

FYI, Vette is not an F-Body but is appropriate in the LS1 list.

LS2 is in the new Vette.

LT1 was 93-97. Before that was the L98 for about 11 years.

98-99 LS1 had extra emissions stuff, most agressive camshaft = the weakest of the LS1.
00 LS1 middle cam little more power than previous years
01-02 No extra emissions, truck camshaft, LS6 intake and LS6 exhuast manifolds = most powerful
02 same as 01-02 LS1 but later versions had the LS6 block b/c of the discontinued tans am and camaro.

This info is for the trans am and camaro. For example an 02 vette rated at 350 hp usually put down 299rwhp. My 02 WS6 TA stock rated at 325hp 330tq, dynoed 323rwhp 337rwtq.

After heads, cam, exhuast she put down 383 rwhp.
