Whatever you decide on make sure you get a chain link license plate frame to go with it.

I somewhat disagree. I wanted a black texas license plate (looks better) but the auto generated numbers were giving me something like GF12542. I personally did not care for the Goat Fker letters in the front so I opted for my own. Granted, the letter and numbers are only significant to me and mean nothing to the outside world. That alone kind of tones down my plate and I like it that way. However, with that said, when it expires and I have the option to renew, I'm going to check what's being auto generated and change back if it's indeed something reasonable.

I don't see anything "ricey" about vanity plates. I've had them for years. You might think about something not related to your Z and something else that is important in your life. I have an Air Medal plate with my Army unit on the plate. It is something a little different and I think it has saved me from getting a couple tickets because the plate was a conversation starter with the officer.

Personally I feel a personalized plate with a competition message to other drivers shouldn't be used unless you got 500+ hp to back up your plate claim. Other wise you'll just look like a dummy who got put in his place when you get smoked at the light by the new 5.0 mustang, z06 vette, ect.

That said just to give you an example. MY built 240 that was stolen had a plate that read "URNTRDY" (Your not ready). I also made 655rwhp so in most cases the guy next to me had no idea until he saw how many bus lengths I was ahead, and thus the plate was true. lol

Just be able to back up your plate if your gonna be challenging people with it. Other wise I wouldn't do it my .02.
