Need some advice from the anti-rice ppl's.
So I purchased my Z about a month ago. The previous owner removed the air splitter's/fins in the front grill and put a steel mesh grill in replacement.
Should I just remove the ugly ricer junk and leave a gaping hole in the front for now?, or leave it till I get a new v2 front bumper? Other option was to spray paint flat black
I Feel like tearing it off and leaving the open space...Im just not sure of what it will look like.
If you need a pic to gauge the ricer severity or lack there of let me know.
Thanks guys, most of you like your cars clean and mean like me, so I'll take what you have to say with great consideration.

If your talking about the car it was because it was mechanically perfect and the price was right.. looks can be changed after all. Thanks.
Yup exactly what i was thinking. I need some kind of Inter-cooler or oil cooler to make the gap look functional. I have no FI so no need for that yet. Thanks.

My vote would be to just remove the mesh and don't stress about it as long as you plan on replacing the front anyway. Personally I hate the look of mesh and the stock front in general.
Are you saying the prev owner CUT out the grill blades?
If so,you have a open hole. Not much you can do.One option,
if you are a DIY guy,is to install a single bar in the center of the
opening.This would give you a N1 look.
Seems like a easy job to do.

1. I got it for a really low price for a performance edition.
2. Mechanically it was perfect.
3. Everything in the Interior worked, looked good, and wasn't worn to *****.
The grill was the only negative thing, and it wasn't enough for me to dismiss the deal I got for this Z.
i say paint/plastidip the junk mesh.
plastidip would be convenient especially if you're replacing the bumper soon because you wouldn't even have to remove the bumper, just put some newspaper behind the mesh and spray it down, let it set and then peel the excess from the bumper right off.
black would definintly subtle it out until you can replace the bumper.
I also thought jcity's idea of DIY'ing an n1 style grille was pretty neat. It'd be unique for sure and look a lot better than a mesh IMHO

Yeah, guess that doesn't make too much sense. Not knocking the looks of the V2. I meant it more for if he's going to go with an aftermarket bumper. But I do like Jcity's idea, it would be something different.
Yup, its stock with a Varis Arising Lip. I just picked out that style of mesh from my body shop and they painted it and put it in.

Ouch, yeah that's pretty bad.
Don't even know if paint can save that, although it would be worth a shot. I retract my previous statement, V2 will look 100x better than that thing.

LOL
Im gonna try and save it with some flat black and a fence cutter.
I'm thinking just taking it off would be a better improvement at this point.
Thanks again for the feedback.
