HI again,

Anyone out there know if there are large Z badges that can replace the original Nissan ones on the hood and trunk ?

How are these attached? Scerws? Glue? If you simply remove them, will there be holes left underneath? What's invovled in replacing them?

They are held on with double sided sticky tape. The replacement ones come with it attached to the back. You just peel off the backing and stick them on. You have to remove the old adhesive first with alcohol and clean the surface first.

To get the old one off, heat it up with a hair dryer for about 5 minutes and then either run some strong fishing line beneath it, or pry it off with a padded screwdriver. Make sure you pry INSIDE the emblem so if you scratch anything, the new emblem will cover it.

Thanks, I used to block it out but I figured people see it all the time on the street.

Well, it was one of those silver lining things, I got rear ended so while in the shop I told them not to replace the badges and just fill in the holes.

yeah, i understand the logic. but imo the odds of crossing someone looking for that kind of trouble is higher online than on the streets.

no matter, very sweet ride.

Yeah you are probably right, but it wont matter in a couple of weeks as my personalized tags should be coming, don't ask I can't tell you what they are

Anyone happen to have a pic of the trunk with the badge removed, but the holes still there? I was thinking of taking off the BIG A$$ Nissan "hamburger" and putting on a smaller one... say, from an Xterra or something. They look to be about 1/2 the size...

are there holes under the rear nissan logo? if not, i think i might make it disappear. "hamburger" is a good description of it.
