Default Whats wrong with the mileages in my carr help?!??

It takes 3.9 miles to get to my home to my school but i kept track how much the mileage was and it ended up being 6.5 also when i go to farther places it seems that mileage in my car tends to go up a lot faster....,,why does it happen and then normal how can fix this problems please

Double check and make sure you have that size on the rear. If you have a shorter tire than stock, you will get the different you mention.

Looks like he has something wrong with the odometer. That would be in conjunction with the speedometer.

Have someone pace you. Go to a road with a posted speed limit. Accelerate to the speed, travel 1 mile and have another chase vehicle pace you. Pull over and find out what their speedometer/trip meter reads.

Your tire might not be what your speedometer/odometer is geared for.

There are also GPS speedo apps for Apple or Android phone, that works much better than a pace vehicle. No telling how accurate the pace vehicle is.

The EvenBits GPS Speedometer (Free on Google Play) works really well, and it's very easy to read.


Is there a chance the differential was switched to one with a different ratio?

Speedo goes off the wheel speed sensor on the rear axle. Gear ratio does not matter.
