Don't seem to have the right codec here at work, so all I can here is that ****** Clarkson... Maybe I'll watch it when I get home and turn the sound off. :/

"It's the Mazda RX-8, and the first thing you need to know, is that it's not the prettiest car in the world."

That's classic. Just today, I passed one and thought - wow, those are really funny looking.

Default coupe-A

Does this guy not know how to speak, when did the Z become a "Zed"? and what the hell is a Coupe-A Or a Sloon? do all british people talk like this? i'm sure he refers Buffets as "BUFF-etts" and cafes are "Cafies". i swear this man couldn't be any more retarded if he tried. why is it that every car he looks at, that isn't from britian, Gremany or well over 50 grand ugly, unrefined, preforms like a dog and is all around a sh*t brick on wheels?

kernel your pretty funny. Before dem ol' Americans converted that der language to suit themselves, "Z" in the "true" english language is pronounced Zed. Thats how any English or Canadain will pronounce it. Since when is roof a ruf? Sorry, I'm from Canada and when I lived in the States a bit, I found it funny when Americans were trying to correct MY pronounciation.

i have a friend that works in canada so much she picks up the accent and it drives me crazy. i swear she says EHH a lot more. its something that is just off, and i'm sure you felt the same way when you where here in the states. the accent was close but some things where just a little off and unplesant to the ear. =D

I will love to see the Z going around the track.

I cannot believe that the RX 8's track time is the same!??? WTF?
I test drove the RX 8 and trust me, it is MUCH slower and handles, well lets just say; "softer"...

yeah the rx-8 is a lot softer in the suspension. me an my 2 friends sat in it at the dealer and it was like it had the craziest drop with 2 of them in the car. and then when they got out, back to 4x4 mode

I test drove an RX8 right before I drove a Z (I knew i was going to get the Z but wanted to compare). The word I've using to describe the RX8 is "squishy."

Also, the RX8 seems to get lighter the faster you drive it while the Z seems to almost settle down.

OK, the Z, the m3, and the rx-8 got the same track time... What good is our power if we get the same track time as an rx-8? Is our handling that shitty?

I feel the same. I want a show down! We should get someone with a RX-8 and meet him at a track and settle the score!!!

He's British, in case you didn't notice

Brits and Canadians say Z as Zed. A Saloon is a sedan. A bonnet is a hood. A boot is a trunk.
etc etc

The last time I checked the free link was no longer working so I deleted the address, but Best Motoring in Japan showed a three lap test of a number of cars. While the 350z was not in that video a 6mt g35 coupe was and we all know these cars are basically the same. The video compared with the skyline an s2000, rx-8, rsx type r (i think it was a type r), and a couple of other cars. The rx-8 placed fifth, behind the leading s2000, second place g35 coupe, rsx, and some other car I am forgetting. They staggered the starting line based on horse power, so the g35 started in last place, and the rx-8 in either first or second.

So poowy on the british guy

The biggest complaint for the rx-8 was a lack of speed down the straights.
