Last time I was an observer, my wife drove the car. She hit the curb. She's banned from driving it.

At least she didn't grind your gear possibly doing permanent damage to your transmission.

Oh..that sucks!

I trained my wife to drive a lowered car years ago. She will get better, just maybe practice in a different car.

Anyone else in NJ hate not being able to pump their own gas? Peope carelessly slam the gas door, let go of the cap and have it smack the paint, and sometimes even spill gas

Why can't you pump your own gas?

Some states do not allow you to do that, states Oregon and NJ are the only ones that follow this rule.

I live in a condominium and the damn kids are always riding their scooters/bikes/whateverthehellelse and it literally raises my blood pressure. They get so close to everyone's car and when they play tag they put their dirty, greasy hands on them. I've had to yell at them on numerous occasions. The real question is why the hell are they playing these games in a parking lot when there are 2 parks within 5 minutes walking distance???

Why though? I'm guessing it's for safety but everyone else in the US and the world does it without much problems.

They say they'd rather "leave it to professionals" since it's a safety hazard. Yeah, because the guy who can't calculate my change making minimum wage is highly skilled. Not that I don't appreciate the convenience of being able to stay in my car. I'd rather do it myself though because it's usually someone tired and careless who can easily cause damage to my car.

I'd say it's also to protect jobs in a sense. Not 100% though.

I remember those days...I yelled at some kids throwing a football in the parking lot/in between cars, when a big grass area was 25ft away from them.
This was a decade ago when I lived in the Bay area.
Their parents got pissed at me for yelling at them, but luckily as I was getting scolded from a parent one day other neighbors came out and said that their kids need to stop doing ish around the complex.

I realize it kinda sucks for kids to live in a complex where space is limited but the parents need to be there to PARENT, and show them where they can/cannot play. I do it for my kids when they start acting up and they wouldn't be playing around cars for that matter.
