For those is Hampton Roads, a Z (PPW and Frost) is on display at Victory Nissan in Chesapeake right now. It will probably be there for awhile. I talked to the GM and they bought it at above MSRP from another dealer just so they could put one on display. They are a large dealer, but they have yet to get a car, including mine. They now say mine is due in on Oct. 14.

Oh well, at least I finally got to sit in one. I did not seem to sit as low in it as I thought (I'm 6'0"), but visibility is definately a bit limited. I do think Nissan could have upped the price at least a few hundred dollars and upgraded some of the materials on the inside. They are okay, but not as good as they ought to be.

The exhaust sounded great. I was there when they pulled it into the showroom. They didn't rev it, but it sounded cool. Everyone there was very excited.

BTW, the GM went ahead and gave me a copy of "Lust, then Love". DOH! I wish I hadn't ordered it. Anybody wanna buy a copy?

Stopped by Victory Nissan this evening to show some family members what I was getting myself into and it is still there, but has been sold. Don't know for how much, but they had a sticker adding a market adjustment of $4,995.

BTW, they are apparently having a Z Fest next Saturday.

Z fest is scheduled for the 28th at Victory, I was told

 

They told me next Saturday last Friday which would mean the 21st. So who knows... Hopefully the 28th because I'm probably going to be too busy this Saturday.

 

I'll try to be there the 28th if that's correct at about 1:30PM after work- if for no other reason I want to show Victory what they could have sold me instead of dancing "The Hustle" with them.
It is supposed to start at 10am I've been told. Look for the old man near the Redline .

 

What did they try to do when you tried to order from them? I didn't have too much trouble with them. Since both my salespeople have quit, I talked to the GM up there the other day and he was very nice to me.

 

I went to Green-Gifford....they couldn't guarantee MSRP. Then left and went to Victory and offered them MSRP. After several back and forths they wanted 2k over MSRP. At the next back (or was it forth) I bolted for the door.

 

When did you order it? I did at the end of Feb. and at first they were insinuating that they wanted a little more than MSRP and like a $5,000 deposit. I very quickly got them down to a $1,000 deposit and MSRP. Not much of a fight at all....

Frankly I expected more trouble because they seem a little sleazy up there at times (especially with their radio ads), but it was the closest dealer to my house and I didn't end up going anywhere else.

 

I tried to order the first day you could (the 15 or 16th?). Then 'was pretty disgusted until I posted on the internet and bought the car at better than I expected from Alliance in Eliz City with a 10 minute phone call. Scott was great and a real Z enthusiast. It was a real pleasure - no surprises at all.
That's the way car buying should be.

 

Hall Nissan Chesapeake called today to let me know that my Z is scheduled to arrive at the NN Marine Terminal on 28 Sept, with delivery to them twelve days later. Have you heard anything?

 

Well, that confirms what I was thinking concerning my car. They told me Oct. 14 and the next ship due into NN is on Sept. 29. So, it looks like our cars are riding over together. To save 2 week, I'd be glad to go over to NN and drive mine back myself!

 

Mine might be on the same boat - my dealer in Annapolis told me possibly Oct 15 but more like the 20th.

 

At least we are making progress. We will have to keep an eye on the dealers inventories to see when the VIN's show up.
This will call for a big celebration in October.

Stopped by Victory Nissan the other day to see if the PP Z was still there. They said they had just sold it and told me to come by the Z club festival this Saturday and handed me a flyer. Just to clarify, the show is from 9-4 this Saturday the 21st.
