i need to get my plastic engine bay parts RE-painted. the old coat i have on, i never got around to putting on the clear coat. i was taking off the main piece to work on the car and i noticed that paint was coming off.
i was wondering would paint thinner be good enough to take off the paint without damaging the plastic? if not, what other options do i have to remove the paint? i used high temp spray paint by the way. also, what can i put on the plastic before the main coat to help ensure good adhesion between plastic and paint?
im thinking of just getting a tub of this stuff and soaking the parts in it. i dont want to scratch the plastic parts.
anyone have any ideas?

i'd use a spray on paint remover if i was you. its strong enough to remove the paint, but wont mess up the plastic. you can get it at autozone or advance auto parts and it should be right there with the paints and stuff.
