I blew the motor in my old Mustang (no Ford jokes, she survived being hotlapped at the dragstrip twice a week nearly every week for 2 years!), and was looking into buying a 2003/2004 Mach 1. A friend of mine was working at a local Nissan dealer, and picked up a G35 to replace his TT 300zx. I loved the overall feel of the car, but wanted a more sporty appearance. He took me around town to test drive a 350, and I loved the way it drove. It was everything the Mustang wasn't, and I knew that's what I wanted!

Me and my buddy aaron saw some guy driving a z so I wanted one. Me and aaron followed the guy to his house when he was sleeping, jacked the z up and put it on some strong skateboards and rolled that sexy s.o.b back home. Had the z ever since. I think my buddy Aaron played football somewhere after that.

I always loved the VQ exhaust note.... Went through a few sports cars before I finally decided it's time to get the Z, I wish I got it much earlier - car was everything I hoped it was and then some.
I think in todays market a used 07-08z is awesome for the performance/dollar ratio.
Still looks modern after all that time.

Looking to buy a late model 'vette and realized I could get a new Z for the same price. Instead of buying someone else's problems, I decided to buy the new Z with the new car warrantee. Definitely wanted RWD sportscar. One of the best decisions I eve made! Still loving it!

Z and few other cars around that price range in 2003 were available for doing reviews and stuff.
Loved it then. Didnt buy it but could not resist the hr, reliability and handling are too good for that price.
Before I bought hrZ I sold my M3 which is something I hated with passion.
I also have M5 but Z remains special to me.

Long story:
So I was driving a 2012 Kia Optima at the time. Needed something new, roomy and dependable so no jokes! I knew I wasn't keeping that for long anyway. I started test driving everything with RWD and a 6 speed. 300 SRT8, Camaro SS, Challenger RT, Corvette C6 and C5 Z06 and a Mustang GT 500. Thought I'd go V8. They were all more fun than the Optima but that's not saying much. None of them really got me excited. Plus they're all the size of a late 70's station wagon and drive like it too. Then my buddy who works at a dealership told me some old man traded in an '05 Z Roadster with hardly any miles on it for cheap and wanted me to come drive it. My buddy loved the 350Z. At the time, I hated it. Missed the 300ZX, Supra & RX7 twin turbos and couldn't understand the design change as much as I loved the 70's Z cars. Also, I thought the roadster was a chick car. This same friend of mine gets me all my cars & he's not in sales so it wasn't a money thing. So a week later, he's downstairs at my office. Calls me and says "bring me your keys, you're taking this car!" I was like WTF, fine. I made two trips in that Z. One home from work and one back to work the next morning. It was mine a few days later. Damn that thing is fun to drive. I love getting in that car every day. I'm literally trying to think of something to do just to go drive it as I type this.

My sister sold me a green 240Z in 1977 when I was 19 years old. I was hooked on Z's right then and It was a blast to drive them. Got a 75 and then a 77 280z but skipped the 280zx and the first 300zx. I then got a 92 300zx that I kept for awhile until I bought an 05 350z. Currently in an 07 with plans to get the Z's that I skipped and also a 2013 370. The reason that I buy them is to me they are the ultimate sports car and I love them. If you gave ma a Lambo or Ferrari I would sell it and buy a couple of Z's amongst other things.

back in the 90's I drooled at the 300z's which were way out of my reach since I only had a pizza delivery job at that time. I grinned when the z's came back out in 03+. However in 03 I was into sport bikes and didn't care about cars at all. Then I moved onto a 4dr black luxury sedan and then finally made it to the Z.

I wanted a combination of handling and drive-ability along with a good amount of hp.
Then having only the financial ability of a lower enlisted soldier, I had to cut out most of the cars that fall into that category.
Came down to a Z or a bmw 3 series. And I liked the Z better.

I owned two SR20DET's before my 350Z. The first of the SR20's was pretty much stock except for branch headers stainless 3"exhaust, and an induction kit. The second SR20 was tuned to stupid and was a ***** to drive around town as it had thousands of $'s put into it, the list of parts were endless and the remap could've been better. I drove a friends 350Z and fell in love with the torque of the engine, I'd loved the styling of it since they first came out an so after that drive I decided there and then that I would get myself a 350 and so the hunt was on. I knew that i wanted one that was standard and had a full service history so after looking at four, the fifth one I knew was straight from the word go. I'd found myself one with full history, all 3 keys, only a couple of owners prior to me and in really tidy condition both inside and out. The seller was that confident of it he paid for 3 month's warranty on it before I drove it away. I've never looked back, love every minute I'm sat in the pilots seat and wouldn't swap it for anything.

At the time, it was best bang for the buck, but the styling was the drawing card for me. At this time, it is by far my most enjoyable ride ever. 0 amount owed, 0 car problems, 0 persuasion for another car, 1,000,000 loves for my car.
