Thats how most all around sports cars are designed, they need a balance. ^

Because the 911 doesn't have tilt wheel and my knees wouldn't fit under the steering wheel. After realizing my dream car (911) was undriveable I went with my second choice, the 350z.

Never really paid much attention to the 350 till my son got a girlfriend that had one...(04). Started checking em out and thought about it for 4 yes... I had just bought a Harley and was enjoying a lot... Went and looked at a Corvette and a Evo. Stopped at the Nissan dealer and looked at a '10 Nismo. I was sold!!!! What a car!!! You can get 3 of them for the price of a Corvette!?
My wife said sell the bike and get the car! I hesitated... but 3 years later I found an 08 Nismo for sale in San Antonio and now its mine less the bike... Not missing the bike @ all!!! Hmm.... I wonder why??!!

The cayman is real nice. I was thinking about getting one if I sell my Z33. Or maybe a older 911 (turbo if I can get it). I really like the 1999-2003 911 turbos looks for some reason.

The Cayman is a beast, with a little work on the aero, little work on the engine, and grab an LSD, its going down. its funny because porsche specifically makes this car with less features because it will be able to compete against the 911 all day.

originally I am am a Honda guy but did own a 95 Nissan 240sx. Honestly it wasn't that great of an experience. But I decided I wanted a better midrange sports car and I just could not bring myself to buy an s2000. Something about a 4 cylinder with 240 hp just didn't sit right with me especially considering I wanted more power. So back to Nissan I came and also I just loved the exhaust as well.

Great point... I agree. Small engines that achieve more power using a turbo do not come close to the experience driving a car with lots of torque. --Spike

Well I was younger and in school this was like 10 years ago. But I do regret getting rid of it to this day.

Saw them when they first came out and loved the body lines and the sound of the car. Always had a sort of fascination with the car that gets me all excited inside
Joined the military when I was 19 and right after tank school had the money saved up for a down payment and just couldnt wait any longer. Love the power and the car just, wish I would have waited a little longer and got the hard top.

The 240z was introduced during my college years, but was financially out of reach at the time. Subsequently, I worked for the USG in a job that had me living overseas and working a US embassies worldwide. Since most countries only allowed me to import just one car, I had to stick with familty-oriented vehicles such as Volvo wagons for 27 years until retirement. While living in Japan, there was the chance to buy used JDM 300ZX's for a song, but parking was not available, so once again, I had to delay my sports car deam. In 2003, I saw the 350 at the North American Auto Show in Detroit and vowed to buy one. In 2005, I purchased a "used" '04 touring with 1600 miles on the clock.

Everytime I drive my Z, it's just such fun. I suppose if I were able to drive it the year round (rather than storing it each winter), I'd get sick of it, but under the present arrangement, I just think of reasons to drive the car. Once in awhile, I will go to Autotrader.Com to look at used Boxters and Caymans, but when I think of what Porshe repairs might cost me, I soon lose interest. Frankly, I just can't think of a sports car in the US market that offers the fun, reliability and value of the Z.

I liked the Z platform because of the aftermarket modifications. I really wanted to get an Evo or STI but they were too pricey for me for the mileage I was looking at when I bought the Z. I wanted to get a car with about 20k miles on it for about $20k. No EVO or STi fit in that category so I decided to go with the Z. I am very happy with my decision and I didn't really need the awd living in Florida so I opted for rwd car. I looked at Corvette too but after learning that I can swap a LS engine into the Z fairly easy pretty much sold me on the 350z. Also insurance was much cheaper going with the Z compared to the corvette.
