remember you have to get the air out faster before you get it in faster... if you stick with high flow cats and exhaust you are still going to be pretty quite

Also remove the frame.

One more thing. Does your rear bumper match the rest of your car? From the pic it looks like a different shade. Could just be the angle of the shot.

I just noticed that from the pic too, good eye! Ya, it's just the angle though.

True, but the job needs to be completed. The plug needs to be painted to match the car and the rear wiper nozzle needs to be removed. The Z would look much cleaner if those two tasks were accomplished.

wow i just looked at your location and your a city over! Im suprised I havent seen your car around at all. I live in Irvine/tustin area.

Great thing to look into with it being CA and all test pipes might be too loud and raspy IMO, but BERK TECH makes High Flow Cats for about $550. You can probably get them on here cheaper used

It doesn't necessarily need to go that far. The small plug and remaining nozzle still look worlds better than the entire wiper assembly left on. Personally my plug is paint matched because I simply had the body shop do it when they painted my other exterior parts and the nozzle was left alone because its small enough that it doesn't bother me.

i took my nozzle out and plugged it with a drain plug also, my plug for the actual wiper arm is paint matched as well, but sits flush from the underside... almost looks factory

Remove tail light tint as other have suggested, that was cool on a Z 5 years ago and they are illegal at the darkness you currently have them at

Your license plate frame is just asking for a ticket from the cops

+1 for a nice set of Enkei RP1's with a decent set of tires as your next mod

Ohh ya forgot to mention a few upgrades I did within the first few weeks.. For me these were must do's
  1. Z1 Rear Hatch Damper Struts (almost got knocked out lmao)
  2. Front/Rear Hawk HPS "High Performance Street" Brake Pads
  3. Stoptech Stainless Steel Brake Lines (The Mechanic only replaced the rear brake lines though, he said Stoptech forgot to give me a bracket or relocator holder for the front.. and I was like whatever)

With all the suggestions I'm thinking of going stock exhaust with either HF Cats or Resonated TPs. What would have more gains? Test Pipes or HFC with stock exhaust and y pipe if your N/A? I'm trying to save as much as possable to do other mods and I hear aftermarket exhaust doesn't give that much gains anyways, plus I'm happy with the looks and sound of my oem exhaust. labrees resonated test pipes look good. Going to search some reviews and prices of TPs and HFCs and will probably make a decision by tonight

How do you remove that damn nozzle? I have free time today but can't find a DIY anywhere on here and it bugs whenever I give the back of my car that stare while deeply in thought as if I were looking a thousand miles away haha "thousand mile stare" I'm guessing I'll have to remove that top small inner plastic hatch panel instead of the big one as I didn't see any tubing leading to a nozzle ect. when I plugged the rear wiper.

I painted the stainless steel plug three coats of black and two coats of clear, giving it that "eva mendes beauty mark look". I have that touch up paint as shown in the pic below but after the paint drys it shows brush streaks and spray paint is so much easier Oh well, the nozzle will match up perfect using black!!!

How fast would he be cruising?

6MT with 3.9 gears in 6th.

@3.5k rpms = 88mph, @4k = 101 mph.

5AT with 3.9 gears in 5th.

@3.5k rpms = 84 mph, @4k rpms = 96 mph.

Here is an old thread that might help you. It is 9 page long and several pictures are missing but you should be able to figure out how to remove the nozzle. Actually, I just used a pair of Channel Lock and pulled the nozzle out. Then I put a screw into the rubber hose and raped it up in the hatch. It worked really good. Here is a picture of my Z with the wiper removed.

Kinetix Plenum / High Flow Cat PACKAGE 350Z 03-05 / G35 03-07

$620+Shipping

purchasing this Kinetix combo package. Its direct bolt on so hopefully I can do install which will save me $ and will be fairly easily. Together they have advertise peak gains of 20 rwhp, and also are SMOG legal which should also save me on time or $$ every couple years not have to switch back to oem.

I know there's a lot of negative feedback on tinted lights (and for some legitimate reasons as far as safety and legality goes), but I think on certain colors it does add to the car. Neutral colors mostly. Doesn't look bad on yours, IMHO. To each their own!

The rear end of my Z looks almost identical to yours with the exception of the wiper delete and the silly frame. I went with something a little more tactful in that department

Your 2cents on my Z-mbw7orx.jpg

A good set of wheels and allowing the car to aspirate smoother and cleaner would be all I would go for. As is with most newer cars today, you're not going to see a massively drastic performance increase in these cars unless you go forced induction. Slight seat of your pants upgrade, but nothing that is going to blow your mind.

Exhaust is probably the best bang for your buck because if you do it right it's going to net you better looks, better performance, and a better sound, all things you're probably looking for that you can do with one $1000-$1500 setup. CAI's are cool but don't seem to add much over the OEM setup (one thing Nissan did right). Plenum spacer and test pipes are the other logical solutions.

Save up some cash for nice wheels and some excellent rubber to go with them.

Kaze06- First off, nice ride man. Def going to have to cop me those tinted back-up/turn signals asap. Compaired to yours mine look unfinished IMHO. Whats the visability like at night in reverse?? I can't really see how dark you went with the rear tint, but mines limo and I'm just curious how tough it'll be on those dreaded weekend nights this summer backing out of my gf's condo (lives off Main St in Huntington Beach )

Also I noticed your rear license frame as well, false advertisment...Ahahaha

I got about $860 left for mods ppl. Thinking of doing like one more mod then saving the rest to get the whip tuned after all is said and done

1. Lower car first
2. Get exhaust
3. Intake
4. Then wheels.
5. Z looks great for a good while.

Visibility is pretty poor. Windows are 20% and with the reverse lights tinted there's little light output from them through the window at night. I usually have to roll down the window and use my side mirrors. Minor inconvenience but it can be lived with. Our cars have pretty poor rear visibility as is.

And it's not false advertisement if there's at least something Nismo on the car
