Everyone that went got a high quality backpack (worth 70-80 I think), with Nismo stitched on the front. Meant to carry laptops and such (large pouch has 2 sections to velco your laptop/large tablets down). The best part of the day was driving your/their car on the track at very high speeds, obviously. I had never driven a GT-R before this, and made me get big eyes when the turbo kicked in.

Needless to say, it was a fun experience, and if they invite me next year, I'll be going again.
I was at the homestead event also, which day did you go, which group were you in?

I had never driven the GTR before either, I was amazed, I knew it would be fast, but dang..

I went on Tuesday, Oct. 1. I was in the white group.

I was the only guy there for the day with the Le Mans Sunset/Metallic Orange/Copper/The Sexy Color 350Z.

I was surprised. There were maybe only 3-4 350's there, the majority being 370's, and quite a handful of GT-R's. Then again, if you have the ability to get there, take the time off, and goof off at such an event, you'll prolly have a newer Z anyways. Guess I was blessed to be able to go lol

Edit: Now that I see where you're from, you're the poor soul that drove like....23 hours to get there? Pretty sure I met you in the morning, and was in your group. Unless multiple Arkansas people went to the same event.

You would be correct, it was a long drive, but worth every minute. I drove the black 350z nismo(#50). I was also surprised how few 350's there were. BTW, your orange Z looks good.

A little bad news though, the master and slave cylinders went out while on the track. When I shifted into 4th gear after turn 5, the clutch only came 3 inches off the floor. It was just enough to be able to get us back to the hotel. However the next morning it was completely on the floor, couldn't shift at all. Fortunately there was a Nissan Dealer 1.5 miles from my hotel, they picked it up, special ordered the parts, $1200 and 2 days later we were headed home. I would have done the work myself, but being 1400 miles from my garage and tools, made that impossible. I am guessing they were on the vurge of giving out for a while now since it shifts much much smoother than when I bought it 3 months ago.

Glad to hear you're ok! Sucks that it cost 1200 to fix. I wouldn't have made it back to SC with that kind of repair. I'd be pushing my car all 900 miles back home.

Waiting on the videos to be posted now, that'll make for a good memory!

agreed, the video and the picture of everyone taking nascar 3 and 4 together. I might even get that pic blown up and hang it the garage. What are you going to do with your decals?

On the ride back to my house, I noticed the passenger side decal was peeling at one of the corners. It stopped, but it peeled enough to let rocks/dirt get underneath and prevent it from sticking to the car enough to look good. So I took the passenger one, and laid it across my trunk mat (as I plan to replace most the mats in my car with time) and it looks semi decent with my number in the trunk. Not for everyone, but I couldn't just throw it away.

My driver side I took off when I got home, as having only 1 side didn't look well, and is currently on my wall.

I tried my best to keep the windshield one on as long as I could, maybe to the next Cars and Coffee, but a corner was starting to peel on it too, and I was tired of fixing a small thing every time I drove, so I took it off, and now is on the wall above my bed. Put it touching the trim on the ceiling so it at least looks good.

Due to the long drive back to Arkansas, all 3 decals were trying to fly off. I plan to frame them all between 2 pieces of glass and hang them in the garage. I mentioned the bedroom, wife nearly shot me. She enjoyed driving the GTR, but not that much. haha

I threw my certificate we got up at work along with my other unique items on my wall (350Z parking sign, ping pong paddle/ball, nunchuks lol). Looks good.

My girl asked me why I wanted to put the windshield vinyl above my bed, I told her cause "that's where the driver gets his hot laps in". She then told me to take the gopro off the wall.

Never lets me have any fun
