I'd like to consider the Juke as the obese sister

I think the 2003-2005 17" wheels came with the following specs- 225/50R17 R 235/50R17. You could pick up a used set of those cheap.

If you ran those with a michelin touring tire it would definitely be quieter, have a thicker sidewall to absorb bumps and it would be an option as far as what nissan intended for the Z.

As the other posters have said, you can't have both sporty handling with comfort (without going with a magnetic ride suspension which no Z models have).

You should of watched video reviews and read reviews before you got it. Almost everyone said the ride is rough. I think one writer in car and driver said if you have a weak spine and if the roads where you live aren't as smooth as a racetrack you may not get along with the z.

I find it weird you "feel" like you are going slower in the suv.....

I have a Z and 6" Lifted Tundra on 35's. I'll tell you for me, 160km/h in the z feels like 80 km/h does in the truck.

When I step on it to pass, say on the highway, I am usually a little shocked at how quick I am going in the Z when I finish the pass (feels slower), whereas passing with the truck, you know you are going over 100km/h for sure and it always seems like it is going much quicker......

As was mentioned earlier, your z above 80km/h, should feel like its locked on rails and super smooth (minus road imperfections) ...... Hell mine feels like that up to 265........

Maybe you have some chassis issue that is making the z feel unstable??

ive got a silverado and totally know what u mean OP. the truck cruises at 100mph very easily. i think it feels like its going slower because its high off the ground and bigger than most things around which gives a sense of confidence and safety. also the overdrive transmission is pretty amazing on the freeways and keeps the rps low at very high speeds. lastly the truck feels like im driving a giant couch/ living room it has no road feedback at any speed.

the z is a different story, its very low, so you are right on the ground. it kinda makes your heart pump at high speeds as a sports car should. once you drive at over 100 for a bit, going down to 65 seems real slow. just gotta get used to it. ive done 145 without knowing it in the z.

If it's tires then Bridgstone Re11's Yes, the sticky quiet ultra high performance tire, but will get low mileage from them. The Poles are a good tire too. As to comfort, well check out Tein Products.

Default Yukon VS 350Z

I have one of each. This weekend we drove 350 miles in my 2009 GMC Yukon Denali to pick up my 2004 350Z with 20k miles. They are 2 totally different vehicles. The Yukon was a nice ride, setting the cruise at 70 and gawk around at the scenery on the way to pick up my new/used 350Z. On the way home the wife drove the Yukon and I drove the Z. No argument there. The Z is great for going through the twisties and not caring were the next radar is coming from. I turned the 40 mph corners into 75 mph corners with 115 in the straights while the wife followed and watched me disappear in the distance. The rush of running the twisties at higher speeds was a great trade even if the twisties were only 50 of the 350 miles. I have a choice to drive either vehicle any day of the week because my wife works from home and for the past 4 months I have driven the Denali because I was looking for the right 350Z. In my house each has it own purpose. The Denali pulls my RV and hauls the family and dog and does the Costco runs. The 350Z is my commuter, date night car and fun toy. I love both and at this point would hate to choose but if I could only have one the Denali would be the choice. It have the 6.2L motor and gets 21mpg. It pulls our RV, drives great and likes to run at 85 mph.

Good review of both cars. But the only reason you chose the Denali over the Z if you had to is because the Z isn't more like the Denali like the OP wanted.....

You know, heavy sluggish steering(compared to the Z which handles like a dream((which is really annoying in a sports car)), "bucket" seats instead of lay z boys that would allow you to slide left and right in the seat around each turn(which is what I shoot for in a sports car), soft suspension that absorbs each bump individually and provides ZERO feedback from the road(which gets in the way of stretching your legs and watching your 9 flip down TV screens)

If your Z had more SUV like qualities, you would for SURE be using that to haul your RV and your kids rather than soaking up twisties......
