Default should i spend $700 on this hks exhaust?

I found this guy on craigslist selling a hks hi power exhaust, he said he'd take $700 for it.

First of all can anyone vouch and tell me it's real? i checked and compared to the fake ones and it looks like a real one.

plus he showed me this wear on the flex pipe and says there is no leaks. can it still work properly if it looks like this?

Looks like the hks replica?..... I'd pass 700.00 can go a long way into something new even if it is real.

I personally wouldn't buy it, can you ask for pics of the HKS logo? It can easily be a replica

Mmm you'd think they would brand it being that expensive lol looks pretty beat up though. If you can get se proof it's the real deal it might be worth it. I think you'd be better off saving a few more hundred and buying a motordyne. Those things make the sound of bottled thunder!

Looking at it more closely I don't think it's an actual HKS. See the burnt tips? The brown before the blue? The high quality exhausts like the HKS generally don't have that kind of burn to them. Mostly it'll be all blue with some purple. I think it's a replica.

Not to cause tension but it just has to be said, dude if you have to ask us about buying only means you're smart enough to know its not that great of a deal to have the flex ripped like that could only tell you a glimpse of what that exhaust has been put through if the seller cared about it i would think he would of at least shinned it a bit before he took pics... am I wrong? just wait you will find something better.

He said he literally just got it off the car and he shined some certain parts up already(gave me pics already of shined part) and will finish it upon purchase.

I just want to make sure the damage to the flex pipe won't make this exhaust un-usable.
