If you look at the current model of Acura Cl-S, it's got some blacked out headlights. It looks good on a black or grey car, but on the rest of the colors, it really stands out in a distracting way. Personally, I think the shiny lights on the Z blend in with the whole theme of the car, chrome door handles, chrome rear strut.

I think you could probably change this if you wanted. I'm sure somebody will make a full aftermarket headlight assembly. It'd probably be expensive with the HIDs and all.

Its not hard at all... I have done this on most of my cars... all thats needs to be done is the headlight removed and baked in an oven... usually 10 minutes will do the trick.... what this does is heats up the sealant glue that is holding the headlight together... you peel the light apart and spray the color of your choosing... place the housing back on and place back in the oven to activate the sealant glue once again and viola you have yourself some jdm headlights.. however i've never had a car with HIDs i dont know if this changes anything.

Do you think this is something I could modify myself?

By the way, I just noticed that the z that changes colors at the top of each page shows what it would look like to have the blacked out headlight housing, and I think it looks sharp.
Read the following instruction, it should help you out.
