Default Anyone know what part of the car this is called?

And where I can find stock/oem replacements?

I bought the car like this, from what it feels/looks like the previous owner tried to paint over it with a small brush?

I'm looking to either replace them or I could try sanding and painting over it but the angle of it just makes it seem like it would make for an extremely difficult paint job.

Anyone know what this particular piece is called? AND/OR where I can find a direct oem replacement for it? AND/OR a good way to salvage/repair them?

Thanks guys.

Looks like you have to buy the whole assembly to get the base.

I pulled my mirrors off and painted mine. There's really no good way to sand that but in your case it's necessary. You have to remove the door panel, remove the sail cover, unbolt the mirror, disconnect the wires, pull the whole mirror off. Then look at the bottom of the mirror. I think there are 3 screws that hold the mirror to the black plastic piece. Take those out and you should be able to work with it.

mask your door and mirrors off and try cleaning with prepsol/wax and grease remover on a rag if that's no good a AP thinner and prepsol mix, if i need to paint plastic parts i use a scotchy with prepsol it helps to lift any wax/silicone. Cheers

I Dipped mine because they faded. Pulled the Mirrors off the car and took the mirror off the base and taped up the mirror. Came out great.

Walmart sells black and the glossifier for it.
