Angry Non vs rev-up >.>>>....>>>>>

I was looking at specs. And only came up with the difference of the Non vs the rev-up is the Intake plenum. The non has longer runners and the rev-up has Shorter runners.

What I want to ask you fellas about the internals.

Are they all the same ??

Does the internals make the motor rev faster ??

I recently purchased a 2006 Z and has the rev-up motor ( motor is seized up ) I purchased a NON Rev-up motor So my intent is to just swap out the plenums.
\\

Thanks for the help.

ecu is different...the rev up had cam phase for the intake AND exhaust..non revup is just intake...

you might need the non revup ecu...or just send the the non revup and buy a revup.

I have ecu and wire harness for both. So your saying that the rev-up ecu will not work with the non-rev motor ?? The engines have different sensors ?

yes..i cant say it will be a strait swap. your best bet is to just get the correct motor and sell the non revup.

Holy crap, there is a lot of info on here about this. Just search a little bit in the engine section.

I wonder if the Rev-up motor seized because of the high oil consumption some of these engines suffered from?

Seems like that is what happened to this one. I did check the dip stick. Had oil but I guess it was too late when they added oil. Motor was already locked up.
