Default Just got the call, but can't take the car...

I just got off the phone with Kathy from Cerritos Nissan. A chrome silver enthusiast just came in w/ aero package, mats, and according to her, the customer requested some 19" chrome wheels. Thing is, those stupid wheels are $4000 bucks, which is totally crazy. So yeah, I told her that I would take the car without the wheels, and she said that the car has to be sold how the customer requested it and they can't take them off. What do you guys think? Anyways, who cares, I don't see how the customer requested the wheels at the time of order when the GM from their dealer barely got the exact same 19's a few days ago. Oh well, that means I have to wait till another car comes in. Relpies anyone?

Sounds fishy to me. You should be able to get the standard wheels back on, the dealer should take the $3,000 profit from you on the car and unload those wheels at retail (since they got them at cost) and make money on those also.

I think that since they knew that the car was a cancelled order, they just went ahead and put the wheels on them. Seems like a good way to make a profit instead of charging for mark-ups.

By the way, I don't want to make the dealer look bad, since I don't know if they are really trying to make a profit or not. I guess I'm just pissed since I cant get the car now, but I dont see how the customer requested the same wheels as the manager, then cancels. Ahh, whatever, more replies please!

EXTRA Weak Icy, I'm going into Cerritos on Monday and will talk with Kathy and Peter and let them know that they will get a very bad rep. quickly if they start practicing false markups to start ****ing the customer. I seriously doubt that any customer would order $4000 Rims, sounds super fishy to me too. I'm mean you can get chrome 23" for that price!!!!

LA-Z

I will take back everytihng I said about Cerritos Nissan if you convince them to sell ICYBLUE that car without those wheels and without outrageous markups/add ons. I may even buy a car from them.

I hope you get the car ICY!

She called me again a few hours later telling me she had a PPW touring. I was like, uhhh, no thanks. Parents are acting like a bunch of ho's, so I told them to go screw themselves, and I'll be getting the Z on my own on my 18th birthday. So in the meantime, all my paychecks will go straight to my bank account. I should save a few thousands. Now the wait is a bit longer, December 3rd is the big day. Also, I'll be able to get a way better job being 18, not some lousy minimum wage crap.

They are a good dealer, but I just don't know why they would do that. I'm hoping the customer really did order them, because I don't wanna have a blood sucking dealer.

$4,000 dollars??? are u kidding? it's just a dealer markup in disquise. Don't forget people, if you are financing a vehicle from anybody other than the dealer they WILL NOT pay for dealer markups. And your insurance will not cover the expensive add-ons.

Heh, I am not his big brother, he is not a big baby, and the point that I could get 23" rims was not that I would put them on the Z but that there is no way 19" rims could cost 4K. And as far as you doubting anyone who can get one for Under MSRP, you are looking at one right now, $1000 under to be exact. Anyway they were legitimitly ordered, and several cars have come with those rip-off rims. I for one have had nothing but great experiances with Cerritos, and bought my 350Z from them. I really liked the sales people/service and the whole experiance is wonderful. Thats why I was so concernced when I read this post. Anyway this is not something they are doing with all their cars, and is not a requirement to purschace a 350Z there. Silvia Kar, grow up dude. Lame crybaby comments have no place here. Thanks.

I think you should find out what type of wheels they are before doing anything?

Just an FYI... I just ordered some 19" HRE Wheels for my S2000 (19 x 8.5 Front - 19 x 10.5 Rear) with Bridgestone S03's for $5100, and that's considered a VERY GOOD Price. If you are getting 19's for only $4K with tires too, it's a steal.

Cerritos Nissan is known for their "Extra Option" gimmicks. For Example, we were looking for an Xterra, unfortunately we went there thinking we might get a good deal. Anyways, all the Xterras they had had this stupid stripe painted on the side with their dealership logo (also painted) and they were charging $350 for that. I told them don't you have any without the stripe and they said no it comes with all of them and it's non-negotiable. Then one of the sales managers comes out looking like pimp on Sunset Blvd. with his cheap gold watch and diamond rings, and he tells us the same thing. So I told them to go screw themselves and went to Performance Nissan and got a Pathfinder instead.

I know Cerritos Nissan, they've always been good to me. I've bought my last 2 cars there. I've NEVER had any problems.

LA-Z, what, r u this kids big brother or what? U probably can get chrome 23's for that, but will they fit on a Z? NOPE The 19's are perfect for that car. Check with other dealerships offering 19's. See how much they're going for. And Icy, the dealer doesn't have to have them in stock for someone to order them. That's probably why the GM just got them.

I doubt anyone is paying anything under MSRP for one of these cars. Just be glad that ur able to get one. The waiting list is looonnng for these things. If you don't wanna pay for the car, with these rims, move on over. Someone who ISN'T a little crybaby kid will be glad to buy it.
Don't ***** just because you cannot get one right now. How I get the car is not your business, I just think a newbie like you should keep quiet and learn how things work out around here before you open your big mouth. Seems to me like your the crybaby since you're are the one that can't get the car. My parents are not buying me the car. I'm paying for it, but my parents were going to do the paperwork for me. My dad chickened out and told me to finance it on my own so it will be my OWN responsibility. I turn 18 on December 3rd, and according to Cerritos, they will have 17 allocations with no owner, so I get first pick.
