Default Air ride system and performance

Hey guys. So I got a pretty good deal on a set of air ride suspension. It's a complete kit with everything to install and he wants 1100 shipped.

My question is now I'm doing a 2n swap into my 350. Hoping to be around 800 on e85. I've never owned a airride system. Would this affect performance at all???

Your handling will turn into junk.

Handling will be crap for 2 reasons. First is the suspension system sucks, just buy some JRZ or KW Clubsports with the proper spring rate. Next is the fast that you are mounting a 600lb boat anchor to the front of the car

There's a good article on Airlift suspensions in the latest European car(Nov 2013 #44)... I was shocked actually. They were tested on identical S4's and the suspensions tested were KW DDC w/HLS vs AirLift w/Accuair controls and electronics. Long story short the suspensions were comparable.. turned almost identical lap times and skidpad numbers. I was always under the assumption that they were crap but if done right... they're just as good as anything you can get. Not to mention you can adjust ride height with a push of a button.

GreenGoblin is doing an Accuair set up, check out his site : Slammered-Inc.com. Do you know what kit you have? Which control panel you have?

OP is this project going to be a show car? If not get some real suspension parts, preferably what Terra already recommended or grab some Motons or Ohlins, custom spring rates are a must

Air handles just as well as any other setup as long as you mount it on a dependable coil such as KW since bags are progressive.

Also, Terra is against anything that gives you a chance of being stanced out..
