My older brother owns a 07 SI sedan and I have a 350. Based on your circumstances, I'd stick with the SI. They are a much better daily driver (I dd my 350).

Keep the Honda. The Z is not known well for it's ride quality, and it Shouldn't. It's a sports car. Plus you have no back seats and if you plan on reaching in the rear trunk while in the z or try having sex in one you better be pretty flexible and short.

Keep the Honda. You want the Z for its looks . Nothing else.

Drive ability is not the best as because it is somewhat a racecar. You want a Z but a Z doesn't want you. Save your money and put it to something useful

I realize they're completely different, but which fruit would be better to eat daily? Apples or oranges?

Threads like this makes me wish the next Z won't be as pretty but still awesome to drive.

Threads like this is why I won't get a 370. In a few years every former honda owner is gonna flock to them when the prices start dropping in their ballpark to go sideways or herrafrush slow and low.

OP: In all honesty, like everyone has been saying. They are two completely different styles of cars. Obviously the civic will be a more practical daily driver. Obviously the Z will turn more heads and give you more pride of ownership. A good solution for you, if you are looking to upgrade from your civic, is an Infinity G35 Coupe or Sedan. A little more practical than a Z, but much more respect than an Si. Just my two cents.

I have a 04.5 z and i just sold my 08 civic si coupe. As far as power the 350 is hands down better in that area hondas are known for no torque. I daily drove my z for 2 years (now sits in garage) I daily drove the civic for 2 years. for just driving around the z drives around better than the civic and is way more fun less body roll better feel of the road etc. the civic is way easier on gas which was nice but lets face it its still just a civic. i sold the 08 si and bought a 92 375 hp civic. but i have to say i really enjoy my z still way more.

as far as daily driving keep the civic its way more practical and the maintenance cost are higher on the z.

I reminisce, bought both cars brand new within two years of each other.

The Si is just sooo much smoother and well built than the Z. You can totally tell the Si has nicer cabin materials. Tranny is much smoother than a Z but the lack of torque made me go FI shortly after. I truly miss the Si but hate all the little children revving whenever I was at a light. Now that happens with the Z, that doesn't seem to happen while in my Evo X.

That's why I'm sticking to strictly European after I decide to sell my z. That or get something exclusive and rare like an NSX, Supra, R33 or R34 GTR. But even ***** driving beat up intgras still rev at me when I have my M3. Maybe it's a honda/acura thing.

I agree with something more rare. The r34 gtr would be a sweet car. The only one I have ever seen was at the furious and furious booth at universal studios.

The other day a older white truck was revving at me and wanted to race on the freeway. I passed. The area is known for cops and I got a speeding ticket there before.

Going back to the original discussion, I had a Toyota matrix with the 1.8L 2zz engine before. It's similar to the high revving 2.0L in the si. It was a torque low rev high setup. Nice car but it had no torque. The z has torque and better for all around driving. Climbing the hills is a lot nicer in the z. The 4 banger was whizzing going up the hills.

What do you guys think about the 350z compared to the Civic SI sedan as far as daily driving (ride quality, road noise, rattles etc)
OP, I traded my '07 fg2 for an '07 350Z. Im gonna assume you have the '07+ si since thats when si sedans came out. Ride quality is stiffer and road noise is considerably more pronounced compared to an 8th gen civic. You will hear more rattles, esp in the beginning but will be able to tune them out over time. Like you, ive always been a honda guy myself, as I owned 4 hondas and this being my first nissan. The Z can def be a DD, but keep in mind that you will use more fuel. Since you use premium for your si (or you should be anyway), that shouldnt affect you but rather the frequency you visit the gas station. Also, the Z comes with different tuned engines, depending on the year you get. As some have already stated, '07+ comes with the HR engine. I know power isnt your top item, but the Z does come with significantly more than an si (and you dont have to rely on vtec to feel any sort of power). And when you drive, it will get really hot inside the car. You going from a sedan to a hatchback, rear visibility will suck (dont push the passenger seat too far back bc the headrest can totally block you view from that small rear window). Maintanence is easy and minimal. Youre oil filter changes are way easier than the si.

Im glad I traded. My vote would be yes to trading to the Z.
