Default Oct. build month. When is delivery?

I placed a factory order through my dealership at the end of August. They finally called, and told me the car has an October build date. But, no exact date. Does anyone know how long it takes to build, and ship over? I'm afraid I'll be brushing the snow off by the time it's delivered.. Got to love Chicago.

This is my experience.. I pre-ordered on Feb 12,2002. Got my VIN from the dealer on July 15.. The car arried in Port Elizabeth, NJ on Sept 9 and was delivered to my dealer on Friday, Sept 13..

There was paperwork in the car with the following...

Assigned 8/13/02 (believe date to be shipped out)
Due date 10/1/02

Hope this helps

I was told by NNA that it takes about 60 days from the start of production to the arrival of the car at the dealer. So October build will probably be December delivery.

Thanks for the info...This will be my first rear wheel drive car, and I get to learn it in the snow. Man, I wish I preordered.

2 months after order date. So if it goes in production in early oct, then 1 month and about 1 week for production, 2 weeks on the boat, and 1 week for delivery.. so 8weeks or so.. Depending on early or late oct. Usally it's the first week of the month, so expect in Dec1-Dec 14 time.

What does your order # start with? Because pre-orders also stopped back in june or so, so the dealer might have not pre-ordered it, but soon as they got an allocation open, they will use it for your Z, this is slightly different. Also, verify there is no mark up, because some dealers charge mark up on allocation slots.

I don't have an order number. I think it was an open allocation as you stated. I put a refundable $1000 deposit on a blue enthusiast. He seems like an honest guy, and told me it was at MSRP. Hopefully his "boss" doesn't change anything last minute upon delivery. Thanks.

Make them sign something that says they wont mark it up or put on bogus charges.
