Question Best and cheapest insurance for a Nissan 350Z?

Just picked up a 2008 350z hatchback from a friend and am looking for the best possible insurance coverage for the thing (while also not breaking the bank).

Who do you guys use to insure your vehicle?

that is really going to depend on your age, driving history, length of time with current isurance, state and county you live in, amount you drive, etc.

"I bought a 'sports' car and can't afford anything now. What's the cheapest way I can keep it on the road?"

Is that what you meant to write?

Try the general, esurance, and progressive for cheap. If you want good service if anything ever happens, you'll pay more. I'm with liberty mutual on an 03 is about 200 a month full coverage. I'm 20, not under my parents, and DD it.

hahah I was 23 when I got my Z, and only paid $80 a month. Geico.

Progressive wanted $230 a month. Which is simply crazy.

fortunately for me, I'm above age 25 (although I would love to be 21 again)

i been getting quotes online all day. it's tiring but I think i have a better idea now.

here are my quotes:

Allstate - $121/month
Esurance - $99/month
Farmers - $100/month
State Farm - $96/month
Progressive - $109/month
Amica - $99/month

I got a quote from USAA and they seem to be the best, but then I realized i had to be part of a military family to use them. oh wells..

Another company, http://www.4autoinsurancequote.com quoted me at just $59 a month, but that $59/month premium just seems too good to be true, so I'll likely stay away.

now, based on reviews and consumer complaints and all that, I think I'm gonna go with state farm. they seem to have the best combo of customer satisfaction and price. as of now - state farm has won my business.

State Farm is a great company with a long history, good choice.

I have Allstate myself, but if I wasn't in good hands I'd be in State Farm. Deep in State Farm.

I'm 23 with State Farm paying 250 a month for 3 cars and 4 people. Between those 4 people there are 4 accidents and a couple of tickets. Had mercury before that and they were about $40 a month more, and at the time I had an rx8, that car was on liability instead of full coverage.

Mercury is great though. When my brother totaled my previous Z they paid me about $3000 or so more than it was really worth.

Age sucks man. I'm 18 and on my own insurance quotes are ~$242 across the board even with a perfect record and a "Good Student" discount.

My Z is $102 a month full coverage with Geico. I'm 21 with one big speeding ticket and a couple other minor misc. tickets.

140 for progressive with an awful driving record. Nationwide quoted me 240 and progressive has already shaved off 20 dollars a month. Gotta love Flo

Registered both cars under my father's name. If the opportunity is there to save money why not do it? It's not like your buying a cheap part for your car. It's the same coverage as I would of gotten but I would be paying way more if it was under my name due to my age. It doesn't make sense to waste money like that.
