Default Tire recommendations

i have a 2005 Roadster that i have owned since 2008. Car has only 50 000 miles as i only drive for 6 months of year. My tires still have tread on them but since they have been on the car at least 5 or 6 years i would like to replace them......The tires currently on the car are 225/50/17 on the front and 255/45/17 on the rear. I would like tire recommendations....since i haven't purchased tires for awhile i would like some input from the forum before i go to the tire shops....Thanks in advance

I've had yokahama, cooper, continental, and michelin pilot super sport. the super sports beat everything i've ever had hands down. these tires drive on wet roads like the rest on dry roads. and corning is astounding, they stick to the road like glue.

+1 cooper RS3 series
I have RS3-A which is an all season tread since i live in chicago. They are great in weather. They also have the RSA-S which is a summer wet/dry tread. Stick great!

I was back and forth between Cooper, Fierce, Hankook and Toyo all-season UHP tires. I finally settled on the Fierce tire since it didn't break the budget and it's what I needed. Not sure what you're really going for but here's my review. No regrets so far, but she's in hibernation now.

I had a set of the fierce put on mine. Beginning of last winter, lets just say they didnt last long. Not that they didnt grip in the snow, that was fine. I had them taken off due to massive acceleration loss and lots of tire roll in the front while corning. Took alot away from the handeling characteristics of the car. But you get what you pay for i guess...

Default I'll vote for the Michelin's

I'll give a little love for the michelin's also. Depends on your budget as they are relatively expensive but for "all weather" they are good...I'm on my 2nd set on my 08 touring and I really love them..
