The Z is now gone.
It's been fun here, but the Z is now gone. I traded it in tonight for a 2004 Nissan Titan SE Crew cab. I really loved the Z for the 18 months that I had her. I think I was the third person on the board to take delivery back in August of 2002.
As some of you know, I am not getting rid of the Z for any particular dislike of the car, just going back to kart racing full time and I wanted a track car that was less compromised that the Z. There is a nice black Lotus Elise that should be in my driveway in June/July.
I got $26400 for the Z on trade in, pretty much exactly what Edmunds said it should be worth on a trade with 15000 miles on it. I bought the $30,700 Titan for $2000 off MSRP thanks to the great people at First Nissan in Simi Valley (Thanks Lamar Jackson!!). I actually did the entire deal before I ever got there and I was in and out of the dealer in 45 minutes. Fastest I have ever bought a car from a dealer.
So keep enjoying your Z's and be safe everyone.

Thanks everyone!!! It has been fun. Maybe when Nissan finally brings the Skyline out I can get one of those, but I just don't see how that is going to compare to the C6 Z06 (more than likely my car in 2 years).
The Titan is surprising me. I really wanted to hate it at first because I am not much of a truck person, but it's actually.................fun???? First of all, you sit so damn high, you can see over anything. It actually rides A LOT BETTER than the Z. I got the tow package and with that the truck is actually FASTER because you get a lower final drive gear so it's got a lot of get up and go. The Rockford Fosgate stereo is the best stock stereo I have ever heard. It's huge inside with a massive back seat. The bedliner is already sprayed in. The flexible tie down cleat system is ingenious. Very well done Nissan.

Steve,
Good luck with your karting.
The Rotax Max class is great.
As Masta said, come back and show off the elise when she comes in. I will be interested to read your review of the handling compared to the Sportivo-equipped MR-S and the S-Tune 350Z.

It's a sad day for me to see your Z go. I received my car 10 days after you did and hung on your every word as the reviews rolled in.
Have a blast with the Rotax and the Elise.

I guess there is now an early VIN available for someone to enjoy.
Hope you stick around on the forum Steve. Still waiting for you to express an opinion on anything
