Default New to the 350z world and the fourms

Hey everyone just introducing myself my name is Justin recently just bought a 2008 350z and im in love with this car. Coming from a 2008 jetta 2.5 this is a big upgrade and I love it. So far I have added some 18inch Focal x421 rims and blacked out head lights and taillights also added the v6 camaro flowmaster muffler I know it doesnt seem like a normal fit but it sounds awsome! I plan on getting coilovers next since I have the rims I have seen some from raceland has anyone had experience with those? Or are there recommended ones for 350z's ? But anyways just wanted to say hey and hopefully ill be chatting with everyone soon

Congrats on the upgrade! Coilovers will look great on the Z. Recommended brands I've typically seen are BC, Stance, and the most recomended I've seen are KW coilovers however I don't have any coils so I can't give you any first hand input on how they perform.

So far looks pretty clean.

Word of advice, don't cheap out on Z coilovers or parts in general. You'll regret it 12 ways to Sunday. If i were you Id go Tein coils they have a lot of different coils that are application specific and they make a quality part plus you get Jap craftsmanship. Welcome to the forums.

I agree with Haptic. I've been running Tein's ever since '03 on my first Z. Have had the Tein Type Flex's with the EDFC on my current Z since '07. Anyway, just my opinion on Tein's. There's plenty other good options out there.

If its a show car with very little daily driving, racelands are fine. They are not for any sort of spirited driving or hard cornering, and obviously not for racing applications.

People run them just to be low and really have nothing bad to say about them except they're bouncy. Check out VW and BMW forums for the reviews.

why would you black out HID lights, kinda defeats the point in them. i have my tails tinted but not blacked out, in some states if you get rear ended because they are tinted it is your fault...

edit = dont know what i was thinking when you said blacked out.... prob because i couldnt see pic at work, i thought you meant tinted.

Welcome to the forums!

I strongly recommend Tein coilovers if you want a decent stance without a back breaking ride. With that said, I suggest PM'ing some of the helpful vendors on this forum for their opinion

@travlee i agree 100% my Z looks just like yours in your pic i blacked out the handles and the tailights but i used one coat of paint and not tint then i clear coated it so it would shine and the red still shines through. I wouldn't let my painter touch my H.I.D.S though i wanna see that badass blue when I'm driving at night just my opinion

I wouldn't even want to daily drive on them, I ride a car that rides well down the road.

My Mac is connected to 3-piece Logitech speakers with a subwoofer on the floor. The audio quality of your video is excellent.
