Personally, I enjoy the look of Nismo v2/v3 front bumper/sideskirt combo. Get some CF canards and then a CF diffuser. Spoiler i am torn between the Nismo RS or the STILLEN whale tale look. Wheels can be anything with a lip and nothing busy, aka SSR Professors SP1 or Workmeisters..something of that sort WITH quality...no knock offs (Varrstoen ES6). run specs of 19x9.5 and 19x11 with a delicious tight fitment on some BC coilovers or STANCE coilovers. Id get Recaro Alcantara seats with Takata Harness. Get a nice kenwood double din for the audio player and Change the steering wheel with a nice Soft-suede 3 point steering wheel, with a quick release hub. Match the interior panels with the material on the steering wheel. FINALLY. L.E.D. LIGHTS FOR ERRTHANG!!! Interior lighting. Headlights. Side deflectors. Reverse Light. Blinkers. Brake lights. License plate. ETC.

my $ .02

I know what you mean. It does seem that owners changing side skirts, hoods, spoilers, etc. do get a lot of subjective criticism.

Part of this is making a substantial change to the exterior. The change is usually more extreme, and that is what initiates the critical remarks. Look at it this way: How many concept cars make it to production?

The 350z designers did a good job on the car’s exterior. Keep your body modifications conservative.

Here is how you ruin a Corvette:

I do design for a living. So,I think I know what you are saying. When it comes to our cars,
this forum, unfortunately many follow the trends. They do what others are doing--wheels,
body parts etc.We all can't be creative or have a "eye" for what is "right" on a particular car.Good mods improve the looks of the car.Or,at times, update the design. The designer
of the 350 did an excellent job of an overall design. It looks good from all angles.IMO,
the 370,not as much.I've found even with great designs, there can be things that can be improved. You know you have gotten there when people tell you it looks like it came on the car.One mod that works that way on the 350 is installing a Blitz design rear spoiler.
Looks SO much better than the tiny OEM spoiler that was way out of proprtion to the car.
As others have said, its your car.You like it,thats all that matters.
I've done a bunch of carbon fiber on my Z.My influences were supercars--Lambo,
Veyrons,McClaren &the Seggs.Its not for everyone.However,I've never gotten any negative comments.If anything,most think its a new Z prototype.
THe car is over 10 years old!
If you got the bucks, have fun.Get a plan for your car.Don't just throw parts at it.

Yes... The early Audi TT, Inifinti G35, and 350z designs were difficult to improve upon (and consequently replace with a new design).

Let’s face it… If you are too good” out of the gate,” it will take time to provide a replacement.

These cars did get replacements, but it took a while. The current models do provide incentive for replacement.

I don't care what people think of my car... This isn't my first sports care my taste are clean and simple.. I like wheels and tires done right and everything else pretty much stock exterior wise... i think people spending tons on aftermarket exterior parts are stupid (making it look cool or fast) but to each its own. I like to spend the money under the hood where it counts...sure people cant "see" it but when i put it down and past them its all that matters lol. I cant stand anyone that makes the 350z on the level of a ricer civic.

My car has a sick stereo setup, is tinted, and now has a Nismo LSD.
Stock rims and stock height. I wish I could lower my car but as it sits right now I barely make it into my driveway... literally, it scrapes bad on the exhaust almost has a hole in the flex couplers.

No i wont leave it on the street, my last car that didn't make it into the driveway (2006) magnum, tinted, slammed tucking top of tire in wheel well, super clean 20's, front lip and all the HP bolt ons I could do- It got nice "racing stripes" down the side from the local kids on their bikes. The Z wont get the same fate. Guess ill just ride dirty. LMFAO!

AAAANNNNNNDDDDDD finally. That Vette ^^^^ was ruined the moment it rolled off the factory assembly line. At least Batman there made it unique.

Someone said they had a dyno sheet for those Autozone stickers....IDK, it might have been on the Civic Forum... but 10HP sounds conservative. oh yeah, and get some ground wires too! good for 25+HP!
