My Z will never see an automatic car wash. I don't care if it fits or not. That's almost as bad as people using the brushes in the self serve car washes haha.

OP, why would you even consider taking your Z through a machine wash?

What's wrong with the self serve brushes?

I use them, but I put first put it on full water rinse mode and blast the brush a few minutes to wash away whatever crap the person before may have left on there prior to scrubbing.

there is no guarantee that you will get everything out.... you want something soft touching your paint.... those brushs are not ideal

Have you looked at your paint? I can almost guarantee your clear coat is scratched all to hell . I tried the rinse the brush out thing on a couple of my previous cars that weren't as nice. It didn't matter what car wash or how long I rinsed the brush, it looked like someone ran fine grit sandpaper down my clear coat. I had to buff and polish to remove them. I'll never use the brushes again.

i'll have to take a pic next time im at the carwash. the brushes they use isn't the scrubbing brushes. it's more along the lines of a bunch of soft long strips.

when i got my Si at the time, i did use the brush and yes there were a crapload of those scatches on the clear coat. after trading up to the Z, i've been picky on where to wash my car and the one i go to uses the brushes with the soft long strips.

I know what brushes you are talking about, I still wouldn't let them touch my paint though.
The ends fray and hold sand, no matter how well they are rinsed.

handwashing is the best way, otherwise you will be paying someone for paint correction later on
