, the seller says that he hasn't replaced the tranny yet and he's unsure if the previous owner did or no. He says it has no issues what so ever, so on first glance what do you guys think about it? Any input would be appreciated, thanks

Pictures seem okay and it looks clean. Check it out and see the pros and cons. Since this was the first year that model came out you should defiantly have it checked out by a certified mechanic +2. But VQ's are really reliable so I wouldn't worry too much.
Make sure you focus on the shifting. Try to feel for grinding in the gears. As you may have found out through your research the transmissions in the older Zs were crap. When I was buying mine, I had to pass a Z up because it was grinding. Good luck tho.
Looks good.Appears to be a Touring.
As already mentioned, drive it.Check the tranny.
FYI,I've got a 03,93k miles.I'm the original owner.
No major problems.Good to find a Z that is pretty close to stock.

Doesn't look like a bad deal for the price like everyone will say..look at the engine check for visual cues and then while driving listen for noise.
Check rear fenders see if there're rolled.
Now if your planning on boosting then shy away from engines with that amount of mileage.

nice thanks for the replies, i'll be sure to get it to a Nissan dealer and have them check it out before I ****** it. It's the enthusiast model, those have LSD right?
It also needs new rear tires, i'm hoping that won't set me back too much.

The base model is the only one without it. Honestly the enthusiast is the best one because you get the HID lights and LSD without any of the added weight from the navigation and leather seats on the touring and Track models. If you got the buttons on the steering wheel your good. Welcome fellow enthusiast Jedi.
****** that z man! That color on these cars looks gorgeous when its clean. One of my favorite color on our cars. Other than that it doesn't have a ridiculously large amount of miles and looks well maintained. I say go for it and have fun!
