Have you considered doing a getting a 350z shell and doing a LS(x) swap? That will get you the body style you've wanted with the TQ you're craving! I've been researching the crap out of it and some of these guys are only spending 10-12k on the swap (individual xp's may vary)

I don't have the time to do it myself. The last "project" I did was pulling the motor on my FD to get it rebuilt. It took a full year from start to finish to pull the motor, ship it to get rebuilt (2 weeks) and then put it back in. I only have time on the weekends, and very limited time at that, so I'd have to pay a shop to do the work which would be a good sized labor bill.
