$2000 to spend, bite by the mod bug! What should I buy first?
I just recently spent $2k over at CZP and bought Tein Basis Coilovers, JWT clutch/flywheel package, stop tech street performance front brake pads, and Hotchkis sway bars. I'm very pleased on how much better the Z handles, installing the clutch and flywheel this weekend.

So the hookers and Blow sounds like a lot of fun but it wont make me GTR fast, I bet NOS would do it cheaper than a turbo kit, but I love teh BLOW off valve noise it makes... I wonder if anyone has put a stock GTR exhaust on a Z. I bet I could have this guy I met at midas while i was having my oil changed, he said he could make me one for like $400... Is that a good price. I heard that the best Z coilovers for comfort were Raceland coilovers is that true? Toneloc im doing really well you know with work and school. I save a couple hundred every paycheck for the Z! its my passion!
This is why I'm officially done with this forum. Self entitled **** holes that can't just answer a question .You were all idiots at one point too but you act like you were z experts before they were even in production. I see people trying to tell others how to live their lives and raise their kids on here. Keep it about the cars and to the damn point. We all have cool cars that we love and cherish and some just want to learn more about them and see what their peers have done to their cars without being ridiculed because they don't have $5000 rims and a one off body kit from japan.
So farewell all of you up there on your high horses with your perfect cars. When you get a chance climb down [B]and **** you own face[B]. Self entitled ******

Here is a review I found for them. They aren't quite track oriented as others and still make the car look and handle well.

Thanks for all the encouraging PMs, I saw these Varrstoens, I know their reps but they look cool. Anyone know where I can get Volk stickers for em. That would be sick, I checked ebay but they were in ghey colors. Im fo show thinking those, Also some 06+ DEPO lights and some coilovers should round it out and then it leaves me like 300 ish for an exhaust there are some nice HKS replicas on Ebay but I heard the tips rust. Im not all into that rusted out look.

Please listen OP, I'm seventeen. You and I have very nice cars for our age, like you I work to buy parts and have fun with my car. Please don't ruin your car with what everyone our age is doing with coilovers and cheap body kits. If you can't afford the authentic things that is fine, but if you love your car treat it like you do. If you are going for speed, save your money and put it into effective parts that will actually improve your performance. (Hint: Most replicas will actually lose hp). If you just want the sound, check out motordyneusa.com or listen to youtube videos. If you want handling, do your research and buy quality parts that will do your car justice (SPC, SPL, etc). If you want to get replica cosmetic parts that's great express yourself however you want. You might be flamed for some things, but if it makes it yours, so be it. Just tryin to help you out so you can avoid some of the flame and hopefully make a respectable Z. Good luck with your mods

I figure stock body looks pretty good maybe something later when I get the rest squared away. I am going more for a look. I don't worry about people flaming me, I do what I do and someday I'll be faster than all the flamers!
You for sure need to get a throttle bottle spacer. IMHO, that would be my first go to. Also, get the knock off of the HKS knockoff. No need to spend 1k on an exhaust. If it rusts, just spray it matte white. People will think you're running race fuel. Win/win
$2000... Herm. Best mods to make that car feel different would be to find a local exhaust shop and have them shorten that exhaust for you. If you don't mind noise you'll gain huge power numbers but sending the exhaust out the side rather than the rear. Shorter the better! Plus the stock Z can feel squirrel under freeway pulls... I'm assuming you don't have any real aero on it yet. Grab a nice adjustable wing for the back. It will really make the Z squat at speed. Plus if you don't have much cash now for coils just find a local shop to chop those stock springs... Ride height dropped on chopped spring will vastly improve the handling and makes it look sweet.

My buddy told me to chop the springs, but I don't think that would work. It needs to operate like OEM otherwise my parents would ****. I did see lowering springs were much cheaper, but I don't think I can get the stance I want.
