Default High RPM idle

i have vortech sc with utec piggyback. few days ago i've cleaned my throttle body cause i was having hot start issue and forum recommend that i should clean the throttle body. after it was cleaned, i've connected back to the car and tried the manual idle relearn process about 40times( it would drop to 650rpm, but soon as i restart the car it will jump to 1200rpm and stay idle around 900rpm), so i have not been successful. i took it into the dealership and they said they cant relearn cause of the piggyback. my question is can tuning shop able fix this issue with retune or maybe i have to install a new throttle body? someone said if i install a new throttle body i wouldn't have to perform throttle body relearn process is that true? any info would be greatly appreciated

Your tuner should be able to put the idle back at 900ish.

Did you actuate the butterfly valve of the throttle-body? Doing so can damage the valve.

I did move the butterfly to clean in between. I'm at the dealership now and I had to buy a new throttle body. They said it's fixed. Thanks

Takeaway is not to clean your throttle body or don't move the butterfly when you are cleaning it. It cost me new throttle body and labor to relearn it. Good lesson learn

Sucks you had to learn this the hard way.

Always be weary of moving any part that has a electronic servo attached.
