Z1 Osiris Mail In Flash Service

Z1 Osiris Mail In Flash Service
Do any of you have experience with Z1's Osiris mail in flash service? You mail in your ecu and they upload tunes based on your specific modifications. It sounds similar to what Technosquare used to do, except this way you get the benefits of the Osiris software with the fancy map switching. I'm curious if they change parameters such as timing or if they just mess with fuel delivery. It certainly is a cheap alternative to dyno tuning at a price of $300. It seems to me to be a budget option for those who aren't looking to squeeze every last drop of power out of their car, but want to take better advantage of all their bolt-ons. I'm sure it would also solve the problem of running lean from mods. I was just curious if anyone on here has done this and what their assessment of it was.

I did not do the mail-in service per se. I did buy a standard Osiris from a member on g35driver and he tuned my car from datalog. What happens is I installed the Osiris tune...did a couple of pulls from 20 or 40mph to 70 or 80mph (can't remember exactly) and then email him the datalog. He does what he does on his end and send me back the new map file...he's very easy to work and worked with me until we got the desired afr number...I was running fairly lean before this.
The difference being the mail-in would take forever and even the e-tunes from Osiris themselves takes awhile to get back. It has been over a year since I did this and my car runs around 13.5-13.9 still a little lean but I have saved up some money and will be doing a dyno tune as soon as I have the time.

If you mail in your ECU you're going to have a bunch of downtime where you can't drive your car.. and what happens if it gets lost in the mail or something? Also the tune is going to be very generic.. not based on your datalogs at all.
I know a protuner that does the same service but has loaner cables so you can reflash it yourself at home and then adjusts based on the datalogs.. Same as Osiris Standard but the budget version. Once you send the cable back and get the deposit refunded its the same price.
PM me if you're interested and I'll send his contact info over

Someone(s) obviously skipped over the part where Z1 says they will attempt to turn in 48 hours. and you can pretty much trust them to do as they promise - every single time. With that said, you are not going to get the same final effect that you would with a full dyno tune, but you will see some improvement. Just don't expect too much - you are not going to gain 50 HP or any such nonsense - from either method.

Can you make some Cipher logs, email to them and just have them email an E-tune and then use your Osiris to flash it onto your ecu yourself? You can flash a new tune in about one minute.

You own the cable with the Tuner UpRev kit also, but you must create any tunes by yourself "if" you know what you are doing, otherwise you have a mechanic/UpRev tuner hooked up with the tuner kit software using your cable/license, creating your tune most likely while your car is on a dyno and adjusting the parameter #'s until he likes what he sees, etc. I have the standard kit myself. You use Cipher to record data logs that the tuner/E-tuner looks at, creates an E-tune and emails it to you so that you can hook up your lap top and using Osiris, flash it onto the ecu.
