Default Setting up NJ Nissan Dyno Day!!!

I'm looking to set up a dyno day at a local shop in NJ. I've basically worked the details out with the shop and here's how it goes:

-$50 for 3 pulls with A/F.
-Breakfast and lunch included provided 20 people attend.
-Large parking lot all to ourselves to make noise or ******** around however we please.
-Start at 9am and finish whenever.

The dyno is a dynojet chassis dyno and the guys are very knowledgable. They work primarily on mustangs, but the shop holds dyno days for all kinds of clubs from Honda to VW to Corvette.

I was thinking of targeting March 6th. It's the first Saturday in March, and hopefully the weather will be warm enough and we can all get into our garages and put on those mods that have been sitting around all winter. The shop is in South Amboy, NJ. Zip code is 08859 or something.

Post here if you're interested or if you have suggestions to make the day better. If the price is too high, let me know and I'll haggle. If the day is bad for you, I'll set it up on the day most people want to go.

Sure, why not.. It's to local not to go...

I thought you were talking about Danny Performance in Keyport... I could probably get us a really good rate there too.

I'm sure we'll get a good deal from this place. My friend is a member on a 240 board so hopefully we can get 5 or 10 of them to come as well.

Great. I'm glad I got a decent response. Now that I have 10 or so people that would definitely go, I'm going to set the date as March 6th at 9:00 AM.

After I get some more response and coordinate with the 240 board, I'll start setting up timeslots if people need to be out by a certain time. During a dyno day, these guys have 2 people strapping the car down, and another running the dyno. They can pop out 3-4 an hour.

Depends on how many people we get there. They usually like to start around 9, and they just work until every car has been dyno'd.

Alright, the date is set at March 13th. There is a group in there on March 6th and I figure the weather will be better and we will have a good amount of time to get some support for this, especially with the Atco Event coming up.

I really want to have a good showing. The Honda club that goes there only gets 15 guys together, and they own Hondas! It'll say something about this community if we can roll in there 20 strong.

Anyway, I'm gonna start getting time sheets together if people have a tight schedule that day. PM me if you have any special issues and we'll work it out.

Dan, i'm in...even though i'm all stock i still want to know what my car puts down to the wheels..and, like someone else wrote, i don't mind seeying other moded Zs.

hopefully someone has a hf cat and a y-pipe as their only mod, because that's what i'm looking to do. btw, i live 15 minutes from S. Amboy.

Nice, glad to hear you're coming out. I'll have high flow cats to test by that time, but I already have Crawford plenum, CAI, and grounding kit. What kind are you getting?

Just to recap:

Date: March 13, 2004
Time: 9:00 AM
Cost: $50 for 3 runs
Food: Included
Festivities: TBA

Location: Crazy Horse Industries, South Amboy, NJ (directions to come)

We'll have plenty of space to do whatever. If you have a part you want to dyno, we can set up before/after dynos. Hopefully we can get another independant Crawford dyno in there, on a completely bone stock Z this time. Any volunteers?

Also, if you have any questions, contact me at dcp225@stern.nyu.edu or PM me here. Look forward to a great turnout. I'll be arranging timeslots in the near future if anyone needs specific times.

This is the 350zdanny I met today at a meet in Roosevelt park right? If so, it was nice to meet you today man. I'm the guy with the Black Z at the meet. I hopefully will be dynoing mine when I get more engine mods up. It's too late for a baseline dyno since I have my exhaust.
