Default Scratched 350z

Hi guys,

a quick background on the weather: last night, it snowed here after it rained all day yesterday so it froze over the rain and then dropped snow on top of it. pretty much all public roads are cleaned off, but my apartment complex decided they didn't want to plow or but down salt until after i decided to try and goto work today. there was maybe 1/2" - 3/4" of snow on the ground, and then ice.

So, i decided to try and get to work today after it snowed last night. I should have probably decided against that. i pull out of my garage and am doing ok. my garage is on a slight incline so after i back out i have to go up a little and then i'm good to go the rest of the way. so i start to go back up the small hill and i pretty much just sit there. there are a bunch of parking spots behind me and only one guy parked there, a mercedes suv. at first i'm not even worried about him, i just keep trying to get up the hill. however, my back end starts to slide ever so slightly closer and closer to the mercedes. so i try to straighten out and then start again. i keep getting closer. by now i'm to close that i can't give up and just let it roll backwards and park it because i can't cut the car enough to avoid hitting the suv. eventually i do slightly touch the suv's wheel with my wheel. after finally deciding that i'm not going anyway i seek out the guys plowing my complex and ask them for help. they come over and we are able to successfully get my car moving.

after deciding it's hopeless to try and get out of my complex because it's slightly hilly and its not worth it to keep trying to get out i put it in park and examine the damage. here are some pics of the damage:

i looked over the suv thoroughly and couldn't find any damage to his suv or wheels.

if anyone can recommend a good body shop in the st. louis area or possibly an easy way to buff out the scratches let me know.

Try contacting someone like Colors on Parade. They mainly do paintless dent removal but can handle other minor fixes like yours. They will be able to fix her up where you will never know. Sorry about the damage.

Yep, it was fairly slippery around the St Louis area this morning. I took the Dodge Dakota and the Z slept in the garage.

I scratched up the side of my wheel well the other day, but I took out the good old clay bar and everything was fine. See how much of it you can rub out yourself before you go to see anybody else.
