Pay attention to your receipt. It will most likely have the Tech's ID# on it. They should not give you too much resistance if they care about their CSI (customer satisfaction index) which will be mailed to you by Nissan themselves. This is what Nissan bases dealership performance on regardless of the visit (sales or service).

If they don't help you out to get your car repaired, stay calm, and just say that you will not give a survey based on what's happened there. Also let them know that you can and will contact a Nissan rep (dealerships know them) about what happened.

Who knows what happened at that dealership. The tech there maybe had an apprentice load up the car without thinking.

Once again good luck.

My vote falls on the side of letting the service manager know, and ask for some sort of compensation.

So I am a bit embarrassed. But I took it into the dealer today and that spot is supposed to be there. There is the same spot on the other side... It freaked me out when I first saw it because it is the size of a head of a floor jack, and it isn't a jack point.

Well, that's good news, actually. No damage is the best result you could have hoped for.

I know it is a mixture of relief and embarrassment

I've been under my Z many a time and I don't think I ever saw that circular indentation there. Now I'm going to double check. If they used an electric lift, there are adjustable jack arms that would leave a mark like that on "both" sides if they lined them up the same way on both sides of the Z.

But now I'm curious to know and see it myself.

Yeah take a look for me. There is one other less professional place that I took it a couple months back and it makes me wonder.

I just looked at the same picture. Now I am suspicious again :/ Now I am thinking it was Fever Racing in Tampa, and I just somehow missed it until now. It wouldn't surprise me because they're shady. Doug (the owner) sold me broken transmission for my 240sx a few months back...
