Default How to tell if its real Performance model/level

Im planning to buy a USED 350z performance trim. How do i find the difference between enthusiast and performance level except for 18" wheels?Does the performance level have aluminum door sills/trim?YOU see there might be a scum artist out there that just upgraded his enthusiast to 18" wheels and tell the buyer that its a performance model or high level.

The Performance model adds VDC and Tire Pressure Monitors on top of the Enthusiast model. Check for the VDC switch on the dash.

yeah, they cant "add" VDC, guess you could swap in the switch, still on the dash it will light up as VDC off. if they changed all that, they deserve to get their money. heh.

The aluminum kick plates are an option that can be added to any trim level, so their presence won't help you. There are a few ways:

- Look for VDC.
- Look for factory NAV (Performance models can come with NAV, anything below Perf trim cannot).
- Look for manual transmission (Performance models only come in 6MT).

Of course, the best way is to run a Carfax VIN check, which you should be doing anyway since the car is used.

To recap; Performance comes with:

-18 inchers
-Tire pressure gauges (worth weight in gold...LOL!)
-VDC
-Manny Tranny
